17.01.2022 Make-over Mondays! Crown-lengthening surgery was used to generate the ideal gingival architecture for this patient's rehabilitation by my dear prosthodontic colleague [thanks for sharing the after photos]. It's not just the white bits that count, the pink framing is absolutely key in allowing the restorative prosthodontist to create appropriate tooth dimensions.

14.01.2022 Canine Exposure Thursdays. This was a young lady undergoing orthodontic treatment with my talented orthodontist colleague Dr Ashwin Nair. After I completed the exposure [closed technique], Dr Nair began applying orthodontic traction and successfully started moving the canine.

13.01.2022 Excited to present my research today for the Osteology Foundation Virtual Symposium. Tune in at 5.15 pm AEST today to listen to all the research presentations and ask your questions to myself and the other reputable presenters Dr Fiona Chan , Dr Tino Mercado and Dr Anna Yi.

09.01.2022 A massive thank you to the Royal Society Te Aprangi for your recognition. Your support at the start of my journey has been incredible. Royal Society Te Aprangi ; Sir John Walsh Research Institute, University of Otago

06.01.2022 Recession Thursdays. Adequate diagnosis leads to effective management! Aberrant frenal attachments and excessive muscle pull can lead to recession. This patient’s excessive frenal pull was contributing to her RT1 recession lesions on teeth 31 and 41. The initial plan was to conduct a frenectomy (stage1), followed by a coronally advanced flap (stage2). To my surprise, the patient has spontaneous resolution of her recession immediately after the frenectomy (2weeks postoperative) and there is currently no plan for further surgical interventions. Moral of the day, careful and adequate diagnosis is key to successful treatment #frenectomy #periodontology #periodontist #clinicaldentistry #recession #recessioncoverage @ Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

05.01.2022 Clinical evenings are back in action after such a long time! Here I am passionately talking about periodontics and implant dentistry with the lovely team at Toothfairy and Co - Ormiston.

04.01.2022 Very honored to have presented my regeneration case at the Virtual Osteology Symposium today together with some of the most amazing periodontal colleagues in Australia and overseas. My presentation is at 49 minutes in. Thanks Osteology Foundation for this amazing opportunity and thanks to Dr Wendy Gill, Dr Rachel Garraway, and Dr Greg Peake for running the session. Special thanks to Dr Patrick Tseng who was my clinical supervisor when I completed this case during my specialist training program.

02.01.2022 Friday Fun! Make sure to be on the lookout for these external root resorption lesions. This repair of external root resorption was done in conjunction with my endodontic colleagues. Perio exposes the defect and endo treats it (using Biodentine)! Next comes in the restorative team to replace the crown with the faulty margin. Teamwork is how we work...
