22.01.2022 I spend some of my week working at Access Ortho, which is an urgent injuries clinic in Indooroopilly, along with other orthopaedic surgeons. We offer urgent appointments for acute injuries such as fractures and sprains. Until April 30th (to be reassesed after this) we will be bulk billing all appointments. We offer full assessment and treatment and are set up for plaster casts application and removal, along with moon boot fittings and crutches.

19.01.2022 The team at 6 Gray St are supporting Dr McAuliffe as he trains for the Tour de Cure signature ride from Newcastle to Noosa in March (1400km over 9 days). This charity is extremely important to Dr McAuliffe, he is also on the Tour de Cure Research Support and Prevention Committee which analyses research projects supported by funds raised by Tour de Cure. After losing his son to cancer in 2006 his goal is that one day no family will have to feel the pain his has. If you would like to support Michael please leave him a message of encouragement here or donate via the following link. https://www.tourdecure.com.au/profile/

13.01.2022 Congratulations Dr McAuliffe on the World first NextAR surgery. #kneereplacement #AugmentedReality https://www.medacta.com/EN/press?newsID=2026295

13.01.2022 Dr McAuliffe has spent the last 3 days hosting 7 visiting American and Canadian ABC Fellows (Orthopaedic Surgeons). In 2016 Michael spent 5 weeks in America and Canada as Australia's ABC Travelling Orthopaedic Fellow so it was lovely to return the favour with this group of surgeons. They had a number of academic meetings, visited the QUT robotics department and did a little sight seeing. Thanks also goes to St Andrews Hospital Ipswich for spending time talking with the group about Australia's private health care system and for hosting dinner for the fellows and guests.

11.01.2022 On Monday Michael will be embarking on a 6 day 800km cycling ride with a small Tour de Cure group to raise much needed funds for cancer. Covid has had a huge effect on charities and their ability to run events and raise funds, however cancer has not stopped. Many patients are currently undergoing treatment and with decreased visitors and travel allowed this is greatly impacting these families. Tour de Cure has worked very hard over the last few months to plan a small group to...ur that is Covid safe for the communities they ride through and the riders on tour. We wish Michael all the best with this venture. Tune into channel 7 Sunrise each morning to see how they are going, Mark Beretta will be riding with the team and his morning sports crosses will be live from tour. Follow this link to see why Michael rides with Tour de Cure. https://www.tourdecure.com.au/profile/ See more

11.01.2022 Dr McAuliffe is once again in Suva doing volunteer work in the hospital. I wonder if he will trade the green flower shirt for something a little more toned down for his clinic in Ipswich next week?!

10.01.2022 Take a look at this video to learn a little more about Dr McAuliffe and the team at 6 Gray St Ipswich. Thanks to The Hype Project for their help putting this together.

09.01.2022 This is an exciting project, I am honoured to be part of the team. The goal is to achieve excellent outcomes for all patients.

06.01.2022 Dr McAuliffe takes the care of his patients overall health very seriously. He is also aware that just because of Covid-19 pain and injuries do not go away. Dr McAuliffe is still operating on urgent injuries and our rooms remain open. We are offering telehealth to all patients that are suitable and face to face appointments where required. Telehealth will be bulk billed. So please give us a call if you are struggling with pain or an injury, we are happy to help. For those who may need surgery but are not eligible currently due to the government restrictions Dr McAuliffe has many options to help you manage your pain while waiting for an operation. These options are also excellent for people who are not sure if they want to go down the surgical path. We look forward to hearing from you. 07 38120888

02.01.2022 We take the care of our patients very seriously. Our staff are aware that the majority of our patients fall into the older age group who are at greatest risk of getting complications if they get Covid-19. Therefore we ask all patients to ring our reception prior to their appointment if they have had a fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath regardless of if they have travelled or have had contact with a diagnosed case. In addition our staff have been asked not to come to work if they exhibit these symptoms. We understand this may be an inconvenience and we will work with all our patients to minimise this. 38120888
