24.01.2022 Another favourite artist of instagram : @felicity.marshall Our psyche/subconscious speaks in symbols and the only way to connect to that deep truth of ourselves is through art and poetry and dreams .. this artwork reflects to me an archetype of the crone, she reflects my journey of continual study of the cranium, the High Priestess seeming divine knowledge and wisdom and that which comes with age and experience. Thank Gods for artists

22.01.2022 Important moment in history. Enough is enough.

21.01.2022 When I first moved to the mountain I would only hear them in the distance and glimpses of this ethereal bird was rare. I see them more often now but encounters where they fly close or overhead are still rare and they fill me with awe. They show up in the times when I really need to know spirit is close. Yesterday they flew along the road with me beckoning me into the Bush, 6 flew overhead, the most I’ve ever seen on this mountain. Their call is from another realm and they are said to be carrying ancestral spirit. When you see three fly together it means rain. This weekend my tanks were filled up #mountainspirit #jinibaracountry #blackcockatoo #theauspicious

17.01.2022 One year ago today since I made a pilgrimage out to Gurindji Country to celebrate Freedom Day where the historic Wave Hill Walk Off happened. The very centre of the earth where you can feel it’s heartbeat

16.01.2022 Spent the morning chatting to the mummas up the road at @mamma.collective and then they gave me this plant which I am pretty happy about. It was all very lovely

16.01.2022 I haven’t done one of these #drnatbookclub for a while, but I’ve been meaning to post this book for a long time. I picked it up in a store when travelling through the Kimberly’s last year, it was also the book I gifted to my mentor when she moved away. It’s an extraordinary book with an in depth wisdom of the Ngangkari, the traditional healers of the Western desert. It has incredible parallels to how I feel as an osteopath who practices cranial and has a deep connection to th...e healing philosophy. The vessel next to the book is the sand I collected from Gurindji Country during freedom day festival (google wave hill walk off if you’re unfamiliar) and the ring is something of a token to myself to remind me of my commitment to my osteopathic work. Osteopathy is an evidence based western medicine, but it has a deep philosophy and it’s a life long practice, it was a calling for me. Recently I watched @inmyblooditruns and the little boys sentiments to inheriting the role of healer felt familiar in my soul. There is much wisdom to learn from our traditional owners, if only we’d listen and honour it. See more

15.01.2022 ‘She had never imagined that curiosty was one of the many masks of love’ #drnatbookclub An apt title for isolation reading : and I adore this quote; I live my life with love, the stable secure relationships with sweethearts and friends, my relationship with God and Nature and the mountain spirits ... but sometimes I forget to BE IN LOVE, and for the romanticism and poetry of it, and that tales curious involvement, with any relationship, with anything we love, remember to be in love. This Gael Garcia Marquez book most likely found in an op shop, with a bead I made from foraged mountain clay, an alter wand from the Bush and my dogs paw.

15.01.2022 Pain can be a portal to learning more about yourself and the world. It can be catalyst of deep transformation. It can initiate a birth and change. Pain can teach us if we lean into it. I love supporting and guiding people through their journeys in this human experience.

15.01.2022 How’s your jaw?

14.01.2022 Yajuro Takashima : Magnetsu full moon 1963 Happy Blue Moon Beltane my darlings. Ascend from the underworld in this fertile spring time. Surrender to the depths those things that you wish to leave behind and bring with you to the surface all that you wish to plant in this life.

12.01.2022 Voice Figures on an Eidophone by Maragaret Watts Hughes : Welsh singer, songwriter, scientist and philanthropist : Read more in the essay Picturing a Voice at @publicdomainrev

11.01.2022 The invisible man by Kerry James Marshall .... confusion over the black out posts, I’m seeing that they’re not supported by the black lives matter organisers and that Important information is being lost in a black hole now. I like to believe though, that an entire world exists outside of social media. With the protests I’ve been to in recent years (there’s so much to push against!) I’ve found the physical presence so much more important than online ranting. Though I do see h...ow we need social media to organise. There’s a lot to unpack with social prejudices, there’s a lot to address with racial history, it’s uncomfortable, but one thing I know for sure is that the only way to heal, is to lean into the discomfort. I won’t jump on bandwagons of one off donations and a post during the unrest to soothe my discomfort. I’m committed to the continual personal transformation in connecting to every person in the human community and knowing their story and how I’m implicated. I’m committed to the healing of our lands spirit and it’s First Nations. My personal journey is that the more I connect with nature and my my own true nature, the more confidence and stability I hve to stand next to and support, hold up and use my voice when called upon by the oppressed and subjugated. I’ll be there as a person at the protests. Let me know what you need. See more

11.01.2022 I love this artwork by @nickwpotts : I’d like to start sharing more of my mountain life on this platform, the messages and lessons from the mountain spirit and how it shapes my work off the mountain #jinibaracountry #mountainwoman #theauspiscious #beallforall

10.01.2022 Ordered a sign - didn’t realise it would be so tiny hello!

09.01.2022 I have a pumpkin obsession. Symbols of abundance and fertility, spooky and happy, spiced and comforting. Their aesthetic is a roadside stall on long drives west, or a creative carving on an autumnal doorstep. The most delicious in every setting, versatile and pleasing. Oh pumpkins I love thee

08.01.2022 @quotesbychristie : It’s ok to have a rest, rejuvenate, reestablish after going through a healing journey or growth. It’s tiring. But my darlings, don’t stop. Keep going

07.01.2022 New phases and new places : Stay tuned @kristinawild_

05.01.2022 The cool snap settling into mountain life, 5pm we collect kindling for the fire, we sip wine, talk intimately, the breeze reaches in through my window, I don’t shut it out so I can smell the leaves all night. I breathe through my nose, I feel through my diaphragm, I live from the depths of my pelvis. We are in no tiempo time where we soften and slow to give way to the air, water, Bush and birds and it suits me well. As we move into our reemergence I hope we go forth with a new sense of reverence for ourselves and the earth.

03.01.2022 Very difficult moral and ethical decision as a health care practitioner but also as a sole trader to stay at home this week. Financially for me it’s the worst time to not be working, but really if we all took a few days off now we are avoiding a longer shut down in the near future. I am taking this week as a big push into my creative projects, to meditate and down regulate my system from the anxiety, to eat good food, to vibrate into a healthy clear year ahead and to ground. This is an ethical and moral decision but also a decision made on a greater trust rather than out of fear. It’ll also give me some time to post more of my books for #drnatbookclub and hopefully to launch another writing project that’s been in the works. This is a time of great healing on many levels and I wish you all wellness #beallforall

02.01.2022 Repost: @tantraislove These simple things are the first step in the breath and body awareness I teach to downregulate the nervous system and to integrate pain. It’s all begins with an awareness and checking in with the body and breath.

01.01.2022 Edith Sitwell’s Christmas card from 1958 It’s not that I’m eccentric, it’s just that I’m more alive than most people
