10.01.2022 As tensions rise through COVID lockdown, its easy to react hastily to things we read or hear online- only to regret it later. Here are some helpful things for us to consider before letting our fingers loose on the keyboard!

10.01.2022 Gday church family (Steve Jones here). Sadly our Kids talks with Colin have ended :( But that just means we have people from the church doing them instead, which should be lots of fun!... Tomorrow Heath will be doing one on "drifting" from Hebrews 2.1-4. For next weeks kids talk, I am planning on doing a little poem/song about all the things Jesus is better than (based on our sermon series in Hebrews). I would love to have the little kids (and big kids) of our church to have input into this. So those with kids, could you please ask them: "What do you think are the best things in the world? The things that only Jesus is better than? Feel free to post the answers below or send them in a private message. Looking forward to some great/fun/creative answers and trying to fit them in a rhyming poem/song if possible! Should be fun.

10.01.2022 Starting this Sunday well be launching into a new preaching series working through the Old Testament book of Esther (at www.drouinpresbyterian.org.au). Esther is one of the more exciting and curious books in the Bible. Its most curious because of the fact that God is never even mentioned. Not once! But that only invites us to read this story even more carefully as were constantly looking for Gods activity. And when we look closely, we find that there are signs of it everywhere. For a helpful summary of the content and structure of the Esther, you might like to check out https://bibleproject.com/explore/esther/ before Sunday

01.01.2022 Encouraging story: My 9y/o daughter and I did a letter box drop around our street yesterday saying that we could help those who were self isolating with any practical support. I got a call last night from one lady who asked me to pray for a family member who was doing it tough. She also said she has been looking for a church and I directed her to our website to watch last weeks sermon, and she said she was really keen. God is working. Even in virus time. God is good.
