24.01.2022 The coronavirus contact app will help keep you, your family and our community safe from further spread through early notification of possible exposure. Its use ...is entirely voluntary, but using it will save lives. To learn more, this video or www.health.gov.au

24.01.2022 Some good sensible advice in this article, amidst the emotive content. The best way to deal with visitors, according to Dr Joseph Sgroi : - Women should be vaccinated against influenza and whooping cough during pregnancy. This offers the best possible protection to the baby... - Ask people to be immunised if they will be caring for the baby in close proximity in the first six months of life (usually direct family members such as parents, siblings and grandparents) - Any other friends or relatives can be unvaccinated but should be instructed to not visit if showing any signs of illness until they are completely healthy - Those caring for or touching the baby should maintain good hand hygiene - Ensure infants are vaccinated against the flu and whooping cough as soon as they are eligible See more

21.01.2022 Little Stars Playgroup Plus is held in Malibu Schools Kindergarten classroom. All children & parents have fun playing & networking whilst familiarising themsel...ves with a real Special Needs school setting. Our Little Stars engage in Morning Circle routines as well as Literacy & Craft sessions with the Pre-Primary & Year 1 students. Malibu School provides our Little Stars with endless opportunities throughout the year to explore various specialised learning environments within the school including numerous Play Areas, The Sensory Room & Library. All Little Stars are invited to attend whole school events, including assemblies & incursions, should they fall on the same day. Our families have the opportunity to chat with highly experienced Special Education Teachers, Specialists and Education Assistants to draw on their wealth of knowledge in the realms of Communication, Positive Behaviour Support, Sensory Based Play and so much more! For Further information feel free to email [email protected] or seek out our FB page. NB Little Stars is a non for profit playgroup which I run as a volunteer. Annual Family Membership fees go directly to Playgroup WA for public liability and insurance which is a requirement being that we run in a school environment. Please feel free to send us a PM or email us at [email protected]. We hope you are all enjoying this glorious weather. Big hugs Lucretia & Ssjahvonelle See more

21.01.2022 While some people will never be convinced regarding immunisations, the linked document is a readable guide offering reassurance from experts for people who have have some concerns. Always important to be sure you are obtaining information from reputable sources.

21.01.2022 The AMA is very concerned that some Australians are putting off seeing their doctor or getting a test, investigation, or immunisation. The COVID-19 fear is understandable, but for some people it could mean that a medical condition like cancer or heart disease will go undetected

19.01.2022 My next Saturday morning clinic will be next week, Saturday 29th July.

19.01.2022 I have a Saturday morning clinic tomorrow 6th April. A few spots remain at this stage. Sorry for the late notice but Ive been away on a little holiday with the family over Easter.

18.01.2022 Sorry for the late update, but I am working tomorrow morning Novemver 25th from 8:30am. Next time after that will be December 16th.

18.01.2022 Overall, their systematic review covering 142,000 patients with asthma found that influenza vaccination reduced exacerbations, doctor or hospital visits and the need for medication.

17.01.2022 Good advice about knees and running, although a bit too late for me I have learnt from experience that Physio is helpful for ITB strain though.

17.01.2022 We are never going to reach the 1 or 2 per cent of people who dont accept the science of vaccination. Doctors are greatly concerned about 8 per cent of the pop...ulation that are unsure and vulnerable to misinformation. The idea that Senator Hanson is peddling, that parents can spend half an hour on Wikipedia and come to a greater understanding of the issues than their doctor and the accumulated wisdom of all the worlds medical scientists is ludicrous http://ab.co/2maeX39 See more

17.01.2022 Excellent article on the benefits of exercise. If you dont want to read the whole thing heres the key conclusion: Just 25 minutes of moderate to vigorous activity a day reduced the risk of dying within this timeframe by 25 per cent compared with the least active people. And more was better. Adults who were active for 100 minutes or more each day had the lowest mortality rates 80 per cent lower than the couch potatoes.

16.01.2022 Thinking about getting this years flu vaccine? Heres what you need to know.

14.01.2022 Still have a few spots open for my Saturday morning clinic tomorrow. Ill be around most days during the Christmas season aside from the public holidays.

13.01.2022 Just letting you know I am working tomorrow (Saturday) morning from 8:30am

12.01.2022 Even less than 50 minutes a week (whether that means one run or four 10-minute runs) may lower your risk of early death from all causes by 27 percent (and by 30 percent and 23 percent for cardiovascular disease and all types of cancer, respectively), according to a recent study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine. On the mental front, running can be as effective as antidepressants in treating mild to moderate depression, according to a review of studies published in the journal Clinical Psychology: Science and Practice.

11.01.2022 If you live in WA and you havent had a flu shot yet - you might like to think about getting it done!

03.01.2022 Working again this Saturday morning 16th September from 8:30am.

03.01.2022 Cough medicines may help a little, but they do not cure or shorten the duration of a cough.

02.01.2022 Most weeks I work Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Once every 4-6 weeks I work a Saturday morning clinic. It has been suggested to me that I should let people know when this is coming up. My next Saturday morning clinic is this week 8th April.
