25.01.2022 Hi Folks - just letting you know I will be out of action for a month after neck surgery. All good but just not up to craning my neck to look into mouths until it has healed. So I am booking non-urgent cases in for July. Cant even go on holiday ha ha.

24.01.2022 Anyone needing fencing gear these guys are AWESOME!!! Loaded my trailer up, unloaded it & pumped up my tyres for me & re-loaded & tied it all down again. All with a smile. You all know I am blonde ha ha but seriously - they were really helpful getting me organised to build the puppy-proof fence!!!

14.01.2022 Might seem an odd thing to post but 95% of what I read last night to get up-to-date on the situation kept hammering home the point........ Short of living in a bubble, WASHING our hands is numero-uno to help slow the spread. This video really shows HOW. Makes you realise we need to be more mindful in even the most simple of tasks. I am still working......for now..... Doubt they will be asking old/crusty horse vets to help with any response................. broken leg shoot it........ but if you are at risk or think you may have been exposed just keep feeding & cuddling your until life returns to the new-normal whatever or whenever that may be..... Keep happy & healthy everyone.

Photographer Daniel Metcalf said he was on a joy flight from the Wheatbelt to Geraldton when he came across the stunning scene between Dalwallinu and Ballidu. Wetland ecologist Adrian Pinder told NASA Earth in 2015 that WA's salt lakes differ in color as a result of differing sediments, aquatic and terrestrial plant growth, water chemistry, algae, and hydrology. 10.01.2022 HI all. Spent yesterday working with other vets, DPIRD, Rangers, DFES-USAR + huge support crew feeding us, controlling traffic etc etc while we checked properties for injured stock & wildlife. Met some awesome locals who were also out checking on neighbours stock making sure they had food & water and getting help for those animals not so lucky. Great to see so many people out helping each other which will continue for literally years while the unlucky ones clear their proper...ties & rebuild. Someone asked me who to donate to to help support injured animals. Some were transported to Murdoch and other clinics for treatment & burns may require longterm bandaging & treatments that you as horse owners know can be expensive... Petstock / Biojohn are donating feed & bandages / ointments etc so there's one contact. Lord Mayor's Distress Relief Fund is a registered charity for tax purposes & is there for these events. Please feel free to share any others you know of as besides truckloads of hay the best donations are probably cash so they can get what they need. Keep safe everyone. See more

08.01.2022 I know we are being bombarded by different charities but I have been following Thawa Forge for awhile (would love to go & do a blacksmithing course myself) & seeing them doing this not just for returned services but all emergency responders who endure different but similar torments on our behalf. Look up the Cuppacumbalong Foundation for yourself - I think it is well worth supporting.

06.01.2022 Wow - what a hard day at the office today..... FIrst I locked everyone OUT of the ute but the Border Collie half kicked in & I unlocked the ute before the RAC arrived. Then I had to collect all these fun prickly things on my butt - well worth the effort to get some peanut butter while Mommy brushed them out tonight. WOOHOO - wonder what mayhem I can create tomorrow - look-out clients Im on my way to yours......
