20.01.2022 The waterways and erosion lesson plan has been slightly altered to have more focus on sustainability, pH and water treatment practice. This means the mini sandpit waterways activity is no longer included but the children get to instead work with pH testing strips and do more pipetting as this was more time consuming than expected I have chosen to make this alteration. Hope that is ok

17.01.2022 I have had so much fun with the two kindies which had the acids and bases program at their kindergarten. I was impressed at how well the students were able to pippete and remove the test tube lids and put them back on. Was also impressed by the amount of kids which were able to make a molecule with our molecule blocks and begin understanding basic chemistry concepts. If you would also like to do the acids and bases program in your centre there are places available next week if you are interested. Lets get kids excited about science.

16.01.2022 What credentials do I have? Hey everyone I have had a few queries wondering what credentials do I have to be able to do this in centres. I have a current blue card, certificate 3 in Childrens Services and Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Geology, Environmental science and Applied Geology. I also have a current first aid certificate. ... 09.01.2022 If you loved rocks and geology why not take it further with erosion and water program where children learn about water drainage patterns and river pathways as well as how to help reduce erosion. However, if you would like a change of topic Acids and Bases is coming soon. The children experience: experimenting with pH of household objects, learn how to build different molecules with the molecule blocks and learn basic chemistry.
