25.01.2022 A call to arms! Sorry not sorry all those arms weve been vaccinating!!
24.01.2022 Today is RUOK day. Lets all look out for each other, and especially our healthcare workers - our reception, nurses and GPs, who are giving it their all to care for our community. Here are the thoughts of an Australian healthcare worker, Kylie Gibson:
23.01.2022 A special 4-legged visitor!!!! We love you, Arthur!!
23.01.2022 In case you were wondering how to wear a surgical mask when you visit the clinic.... As the dogtor demonstrates!
23.01.2022 Im a bit late today, but - crazy socks Wed strikes again! All I can say is What on earth Dr Tony.... What on earth...
23.01.2022 Congratulations to Dr Cath who will be working to support quality primary care (and wearing a funky gown from time to time) with her favourite GP colleagues for another year as the re-elected deputy chair of RACGP Qld
23.01.2022 When expert advice matters most. It is important to reassure your patients they can still seek your advice on all health matters - easily and safely. So, were... letting patients across Australia know that they can consult their regular GP about any type of health concern with telephone, video and safe in person appointments still available. 22.01.2022 Happy 5th birthday, CCFP!!!! Where did that time go to? We can't have a big party this year so birthday presents of barre and champagne it is! Thanks to all our staff who help care for our community
22.01.2022 Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend as much as these lounge noodles! With the upcoming easing of restrictions - Please think carefully about what you do and who you will be seeing. Always maintain physical distancing and hand hygiene. If you have even the most minor symptoms please consult your GP or local fever clinic to ask about testing.... Lets keep safe and avoid a second wave. See more
22.01.2022 E-scripts are now available! Yay! This means we can send your scripts to your mobile phone or email. All local pharmacies now have the ability to accept scripts this way - who doesn't like a bit of tech progress??
22.01.2022 Happy fathers day, especially to all the dads who help build office desks!
21.01.2022 Happy Sunday evening everyone :-) During the next few months CCFP has decided to help look after the community by bulk-billing all Medicare eligible services (this excludes special procedures such as iron infusions and minor surgical procedures which will still have a small out-of-pocket charge). This policy will stand until at least 30th September 2020. We dont think that financial hardship should get in the way of seeing your GP and we are proud to help in any way we can in this difficult time. (Sorry Drs Kristina and Em arent in our photo which was taken pre-covid social distancing!)
20.01.2022 Heads up! Medicare billing change! Telehealth consults can now only be bulk-billed if you have seen us face-to-face in the last 12 months. Sigh, Medicare. Sometimes it makes me want to stay in bed cuddling my Roo. Please ask any questions below
20.01.2022 Lots of little Covid outbreaks lately - we are working hard to keep our community safe. Here is a bit of the detail of our clinical plans. We are at moderate risk at present. http://ccfamilypractice.com.au//Clinical-response-to-covid
20.01.2022 Congratulations to Dr Amin who has been awarded a MMed (masters in medicine, skin cancer) from the University of Queensland. Well done, Amin!

20.01.2022 When two ginger GPs try to avoid sunburn..... Happy long weekend! See you Monday :-)
19.01.2022 This faithful lil beastie is having a major upgrade! We will be closed from Friday 3pm through the weekend so this can happen, and online bookings will also be off during this time. We will still be taking phone calls though if you need us. Its a bit of a pain, but also a bit exciting!
19.01.2022 So true! Telehealth is very easy to access and safe when combined with doctors you know and who are available to review you in clinic if needed.
18.01.2022 Getting my #CrazySocks4Docs on today to support doctors mental health! Meanwhile please find our most recent update on our practice changes during covid. http://ccfamilypractice.com.au/keeping-our-community-safer/
17.01.2022 Changes to fees. The Federal government has reduced your Medicare rebates as of 1st Oct, and so we must change our billing. Despite the reduction in rebates our GPs will support our community by continuing to bulk-bill (no out of pocket cost) all telehealth appointments for patients who have been seen in our clinic during the last 12 months. ... We will also continue to bulk-bill all children under 16, and all concession card holders during the week for all appointments. All other patients attending face to face consults will be charged a small $15 gap for a 10 mins appointment, and $30 gap for a 20 mins appointment. Please see our fees page for more information about charges for skin excisions etc. We thank you for understanding, and encourage you to contact your Federal member to voice any concerns you might have regarding the significant reduction in funding for your essential health care.
16.01.2022 Congratulations Dr Tony! Tony has been re-elected to continue chairing the West Moreton and Darling Downs Primary Health Network. Thank you for your leadership and work for our community!
15.01.2022 Crazy socks! Seems like at CCFP we are.... Pining for holidays, feeling wild, watching things closely, predicting the future and... Hungry! Guess who is always hungry... hehe

12.01.2022 Please stay at home and safe over the weekend. https://www.abc.net.au//coronavirus-queensland-l/13040436
12.01.2022 Weve just made a Saturday morning flu vax clinic. Phone 3201 2010 to book, it will be alfresco with distancing and bubble machine as usual!!
12.01.2022 What to do if you have a SNIFF(L)Y nose. This year is a bit different! If you have any respiratory tract infection symptoms it is best if you isolate and arrange to have a Covid-19 swab. Its not difficult, you can just arrange a telehealth review with your GP who will order one from a local pathology centre - usually you dont even have to leave your car and there is no charge for this. Same for kids and adults. The results are back usually within 24 hours. Too easy!
12.01.2022 Hump day sock update!
12.01.2022 Uh oh! Nearly forgot our Wednesday socks!!!! Please enjoy the sartorial exploits of CCFP

10.01.2022 Whos with me on this - we need to clone Dr Emma :-)
10.01.2022 :-( if you are unwell or have possible contact with a Covid case please arrange to get tested via telehealth or the hospital-run fever clinics. Otherwise, mask up, social distance and stay safe!
10.01.2022 Hi everyone, hope you're all keeping safe and sound! Business as usual at the practice this AM, minus one tree. Vaccines all safe and sound due to our Tesla battery back up (thank goodness & Elon Musk). Also thanks to SES workers and Energex for working so hard overnight for our community.

04.01.2022 Today is RUOK day. Let's all look out for each other, and especially our healthcare workers - our reception, nurses and GPs, who are giving it their all to care for our community. Here are the thoughts of an Australian healthcare worker, Kylie Gibson:
04.01.2022 It seems like competition is heating up in our wacky socks Wednesday project.... But where is Dr Tony??
03.01.2022 Its Wed sock show time! We might wear through our socks soon - we provided care to 650 patients last week! Yikes!
03.01.2022 We are COVIDsafe to help protect our community.
03.01.2022 Happy father's day, especially to all the dads who help build office desks!
03.01.2022 Should we book them in for mum'n'bubs clinic???
03.01.2022 Thank you Environmental Fairies!!!!
02.01.2022 HOT OFF THE PRESS re Driving licence information for patients over 75. Of course - please dont drive if you are not safe! We have been advised this afternoon that the Minister has announced as part of wider efforts in response to COVID-19, senior Queensland drivers will not be required to visit their doctor or optometrist to obtain a medical certificate to meet senior driver licensing requirements, reducing the risk of exposure to the coronavirus and the need to go outside. ... Effective immediately, the changes are as follows: Medical certificates obtained to meet older driver requirements that expired after 29 January 2020 will remain valid until six months after the COVID-19 emergency ends. If drivers have an M condition on their current driver licence, they need to contact TMR on 13 23 80 or email [email protected] to have their current medical certificate extended. These changes mean that during the COVID-19 emergency period, drivers aged 75 years and over can continue to drive on Queensland roads without holding a valid medical certificate.
02.01.2022 It's small, but it's progress! We are now in Covid-19 Lower risk category. Well done everyone, and don't forget to get tested if you're sick! http://ccfamilypractice.com.au//Clinical-response-to-covid
