25.01.2022 There is a growing body evidence that mindfulness and meditation have benefits for our wellbeing in so many areas (the Eastern religions have known this for thousands of years, science is just catching up). Slowing down the ageing process in our brains seems to be another possible benefit. Headspace is a great place to start if you haven't tried mindfulness before and want to give it a go. Mindful in May (https://www.mindfulinmay.org) also kicks off tomorrow which will teach you in more depth about the benefits of mindfulness from some of the world experts and practical ways of integrating more mindfulness into your life

24.01.2022 A wonderful resource from the Black Dog Institute for getting through this challenging time and reducing risk of depression and anxiety https://www.blackdoginstitute.org.au//covid-19_self-care-p

23.01.2022 It was an exciting day today to be part a stellar effort raising awareness for mental health and the far-reaching benefits of mindfulness. It was a bonus to break a world record for the world’s largest mindfulness class (single event) led by one of my favourite therapists/teachers/authors, Russ Harris

20.01.2022 I have been asked so many times this week to send this poem out. It seems she has a whole life if her own ! So I am reposting her here to make it easier to sha...re and spread around. It’s a funny one when you create something and it really goes all over the world but people tend not to worry about crediting the artist. My joy is for this poem touched others as it has me. But I also want those who want to come to this community and my teaching spaces to be able to find me too. So I’m sharing it with my website on the bottom. Feel free to share with your community or friends or stick in your fridge for a daily reminder.

19.01.2022 Our shared humanity, our shared vulnerability, our histories. Don’t believe everything your mind tells you. Beautiful video by Rikke Kjelgaard https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=HEghvn7We8w

12.01.2022 Thank you to ACT Aunty for sharing this beautiful video from School of Life. Something in it for all of us I think... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ypXwioZXUrE

11.01.2022 This sums it up pretty perfectly. I’ve shared some of my moments like this from today below. Please share one of yours ....

10.01.2022 Thanks for posting this one, Louise Shepherd. Such an important one for all the mums out there (and no doubt, a fair few dads too!). Share your don’ts! I share most of the author's - plus I rarely bother with makeup, get up too late most mornings (and then rush the rest of the family), and I despise anything crafty https://www.mamamia.com.au/i-dont-list/

10.01.2022 So often this is what ‘self care’, or taking responsibility for looking after yourself, looks like. Love this

09.01.2022 Love this ..... what’s it all about for you? What would you do differently if you had a rewind? ..,,

07.01.2022 Russ Harris has kindly made his mindfulness recordings available free of charge at the moment. It includes one of my favourites, leaves on a stream. A great skill to be practicing daily, especially right now during this stressful time https://www.actmindfully.com.au/product-category/mp3s/
