25.01.2022 I welcome you to our traditional world music Fundraiser. We have talents coming from pockets all over the world to share their culture, their spirit, the honour of their ancestors and the honours of their lands through creative expression of song, dance, tasty food and art. Bringing culture, bringing fun, healthy expression and movement into our society. My intentions of this music event is not only to bring joy to those able to come but to raise the funds to empower our Y...outh in Australia by taking the music to them. I have been teaching African drumming and dancing for over 15 years working in schools Australia wide and my goal is to take my work to country, to adolescent youth that be troubled and in need of empowerment and inspiration. In my country, Ghana, music and dance is a part of everyday life growing up, a normal healthy expression. We did not all have the opportunity to learn life skills via schooling education but rather we learnt them in many ways. For myself especially, drumming and dancing taught me focus, dedication, meditation and the ability to find my own unique rhythm and expression. Music is my therapy and my purpose is to share this gift. With the funds raised, I myself will be holding workshops for troubled youth in the Northern Rivers region, and eventually in more remote places. I welcome you to join this community fundraiser and spread the happiness.
