09.01.2022 County Fair Congratulations to our Year 6 students for their outstanding contribution to the school by hosting a fun and well organised County Fair this week. Every student contributed to the smooth running of the action packed... fair and we were delighted to see the way the students engaged with the K-5 students. County Fair is the culmination of the students' developing leadership skills this year and we were proud of the way they worked together to enable each team member to contribute to the success of the Fair. For the past 6 weeks, Year 6 students have worked towards this leadership opportunity by submitting a written proposal outlining their plans for each stall including the resources required and the anticipated expense. Students worked together across 17 stalls and their hard work resulted in a successful fair for our students, teachers and families. We are sincerely grateful for the support of our Year 6 families leading up to and for assisting on Tuesday. In particular we would like to thank Jeff Smith, Val Melvin, Jim and Adriana Kalotheos, Conrad Page, Rebecca Hayden, Leudmila Ugov, Andrew Halliday, Anita Martin, Lynley Hoffman, Kate Young, Annie Beanland, Madeleine McDonell, Raelene Radice, Sonja Gibbs and Kirsty Bush. The success of this leadership initiative is also due to the support of local business and we would like to sincerely thank City of Canada Bay Council, @ColesFiveDock and @ColesBirkenheadPoint , Crust Pizza, Domino's Pizza Drummoyne, Spotlight, The Party People, Monkey Puzzle, Anime At Abbotsford, Lisa Di Giacomo, Village Sourdough Bakery Five Dock and Steve's Meats Drummoyne. Thank you also to our Year 6 teachers Adam Westwood, Kylie Nixon, Abi Gibson and Ewan Sutton for their commitment to this student led activity and for the way they mentored students in the weeks leading up to the County Fair.
