24.01.2022 The Junior Guides had a fabulous time tonight 'lighting up the wild' at Taronga Zoo. We saw all of the brilliant animal light sculptures and the girls handed out their homemade leaflets about Pangolin's at the Pangolin sculpture. All part of raising awarness of an endangered animal as part of their world badge.

22.01.2022 Volunteer with Drummoyne Girl Guides Inspire & Empower DRUMMOYNE UNIT LEADER... Would you like to get involved in your community and help girls develop skills for life? Girl Guides NSW & ACT is looking for women 18 years and over interested in Leadership. No previous Guiding experience necessary just a willingness to learn more about the principals of Guiding The Drummoyne Unit Leaders and Assistant Unit Leaders are involved with the weekly program of the Unit, helping the girls to plan their activities, achieve their goals, and have fun. Guides also participate in occasional weekend camps and activity days. Leaders complete the Girl Guide Leadership Qualification which includes participation in a webinar, a weekend training and First Aid. While training Leaders are paired with a Learning Partner and supported by other Leaders in the Team. The cost of Training, Uniform & resources will be covered by the local group. By volunteering you can: Make a difference to girls lives Learn new skills, develop and extend your existing ones Gain recognition through achieving Girl Guides Australia Leadership Qualification Access training in a wide range of areas Be part of a team of like minded women Give your CV a boost by developing management and leadership skills Develop lasting friendships with other Leaders Take action on issues which affect the lives of women in Australia and overseas Have lots of fun! 21.01.2022 On Monday 22nd February Drummoyne Guide District will be celebrating World Thinking Day along with Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world by wearing their Guide uniforms to school. The Girl Guide and Girl Scout experience is a lifelong adventure of connecting with the world around us and the people we meet. This World Thinking Day (WTD), we invite you to explore and celebrate the meaningful connections that make our lives better, whether to the people closest to us, to a place we care about, or to a Girl Guide or Girl Scout friend on the other side of the world.

18.01.2022 Alice had a great day yesterday at the Drummoyne Public School Fete! She helped sell raffle tickets and Guide Biscuits and even tried her hand at building with marshmallows and spaghetti. Thanks to the Drummoyne Public P&C for organising such a fun day for the local community.

17.01.2022 Hall hire in Drummoyne has been managed for a number of years by volunteers from the Drummoyne Girl Guide District Support Group. Unfortunately, we have been unable to fill these volunteer positions for 2020 and have been forced to close the Support Group. This means that we are unable to continue to offer the hall for hire.
