25.01.2022 Starting the season off with a socially distanced briefing.

24.01.2022 Hi all DSC Juniors. This Sunday is a round 2 of the club championship. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. The forecast is for 39 degrees and 15-20 knots of wind. So should be a great day.

24.01.2022 Sailing may still be on hold but the BBQ is still on. Head down to Drummoyne sailing club tomorrow from 7am to 2pm for a bacon and egg roll.

22.01.2022 Today’s club championship was postponed due to gale force winds, but these boys rose to the challenge and went for a sail, returning victorious with only minor damage to boats. Fund raising calendar out soon.

22.01.2022 A good story from world Champion Mitch Kennedy as he remembers his time sailing his sabot. All the best sailors come from sabots right....

21.01.2022 Hi All. We have been working on getting the season started, but due to current restrictions with zones, and the number of people who live outside the zone, we have decided to defer the start of racing for Sabots, Flying 11s, Lasers, Cherubs, OK Dingys, 16 foot skiffs and Hartley's. Racing is set to commence on the weekend on Saturday and Sunday the 10th and 11th of October. Between now and then we will organise some coaching and training for our junior competitors, however al...l Covid precautions will need to be adhered to. We will let you know when this is happening. Anyone is of course free to take their own boats out for a sail, however if launching from the club, you will need to adhere to all covid precautions. The current recommended restrictions in regards to Zones that have caused us to delay the start of racing are in place until the end of September. These are of course to be reviewed at that time. The Sailing Calendar is being reviewed with respect to club championships and regattas at the moment and will be posted on the DSC Website soon. Stay Safe. Cheers Warwick

19.01.2022 Hi All. Last weekends round of the Club Championship had to be postponed due to high winds. It will now be held on the 13 of December 2020.... I look forward to seeing you all there.

17.01.2022 Club championship this weekend for Oks Dinghy's, Cherubs, Lasers and Sabots. Looking forward to a close competition overseen by our favourite race office Alex Palmer. We are not running the BBQ at the moment, however the bistro has a great range of meals, and a heap of us will be taking advantage and having dinner there. The more that stay back, the bigger the party will be. Looking forward to re living the race over dinner with you all.

15.01.2022 Sydney to Hobart cancelled. First time for 75 years the race has not run https://rolexsydneyhobart.com//2020-rolex-sydney-hobart-y/

15.01.2022 Hello everyone. In light of the events unfolding in the Northern Beaches currently in regard to Covid-19 we have decided to post pone the Cherub Sprint Series event until early next year (2021). We apologise for any inconvenience but want to stay on the safe side to ensure that everyone can have as normal a holiday as possible over the next few weeks. We will keep you all updated on new dates for the Cherub Sprint Series regatta and let you know as soon as possible. Stay safe and be kind to one and other. Drummoyne Juniors.

15.01.2022 I wonder if we will even recognise Drummoyne Sailing Club when the new season kicks off again?

11.01.2022 Anyone else missing the sailors bar after a long days racing? Here's a way you can help make sure its open when the season starts again.

07.01.2022 Andrew and Ollie sailing like mad men yesterday

06.01.2022 The Drummoyne drive through BBQ is up and running, there is even a coffee van parked near by.

02.01.2022 Sailing Cancelled for 20th of December 2020 Hi everyone. Due to the developing Corona 19 outbreak on Sydney's Northern beaches, and the request of the premier to cancel any non essential outings, the juniors Committee have decided to cancel tomorrows racing. We appreciate that this is late notice, but the situation is developing quickly. We are hopeful this is just a temporary stoppage, and sailing will resume with gusto on the 31st of January 2021. From the ABC News Website.... Ms Berejiklian said people in Sydney outside of the Northern Beaches should avoid unnecessary travel. "Can I say to everybody in other parts of Sydney outside the Northern Beaches, please limit your activity," she said. "We are asking you to do this in good faith. We are asking you not to undertake non-essential travel, or non-essential activity. "If you are planning a night out tonight, we ask you to consider changing those plans and staying at home." We would like to thank everyone for there efforts in making this season to day a successful one in spite of the challenges the year has bought, and to wish everyone the best for Christmas, and New year. We look forward to seeing everyone in 2021. Best Wishes. Warwick Plumsted On behalf of juniors Committee.
