22.01.2022 Having danced and learned from big names all over Australia, time and time again I see dancers that don’t understand music theory when it comes to rhythm, timing, counts and time signatures. Just think about all the dancers/teachers that rely on phonetic sounding out of rhythms, which can actually make it harder to understand. Or counting out to the wrong time signatures. So I learned drums from some of the best in the world, and have been teaching it since for over a decade,... and decided to make this course to deliver these rhythmic concepts in easy terms so we can all catch up. The course is filled with side notes and connections for dancers, and deeper challenges and theory for drummers. Whether you are a dancer or drummer, the only people this course isn’t suited for would be advanced level drummers like myself.. haha 1.5hrs broken into 3 categories for anyone wanting to grow in knowledge or rhythmic understanding.. 1- time signatures and structure 2- counts and rhythmic divisions 3- how to teach or breakdown rhythms We will have practical exercises and O will upload helpful documents for everyone to take.
