18.01.2022 Disease & Defect Webinar Series register via email with Wingham Beef [email protected] Disease & Defect Webinar Series... Focus on Feedback Do you really know how your herd is performing in relation to health incidences? Meat & Livestock Australia research indicates meat and offal condemns cost the beef processing sector between $11.8m and $50m per year. Animal disease and defects mostly affect meat and offal, and sometimes the entire carcase, resulting in these products being condemned. Thanks to Livestock Data Link (LDL), an online program that enables carcase information to be shared between processors and their suppliers, animal disease and defect feedback is now available for you! Wingham Beef Exports (WBE) have been participating in a Health 4 Wealth (H4W) project and now provide carcase feedback on five of the most prevalent animal disease and defect conditions associated to beef processing. Feedback on Liver Fluke, Hydatids, Nephritis, Liver Abscesses, and Pneumonia is available via LDL. Over time, more conditions will be added. To introduce the H4W project and feedback available, WBE will be offering a series of informative webinars where you will have the opportunity to hear about the following: Workshop Dates: Focus on Liver Fluke Wednesday 26th August 2:30-4:00pm Focus on Hydatids Thursday 27th August 2:30-4:00pm Teleconference details will be provided once you’ve registered to attend!
