25.01.2022 I'm thrilled to say that with greater warmth and light in our days now, our Dru yoga afternoon/evening class is leaving Zoom land and returning to real space and time this Friday 25th September at 5.30 pm, finishing 7 pm at the Maleny Yoga Shed. Thank you for this beautiful picture Gwyneth Evans! It would be wonderful to see you there. Cost is $ 18 casual / $ 16 concession. Pay only $ 10 on Friday if you've already attended and paid for Monday class in Maleny or Landsborough in the same week.

25.01.2022 I started my journey into learning aerial yoga at CircStudios on Saturday. I love the super extension of the muscles and spine and the way the body is free to move in space so beautifully supported by the hammock. It has a lot in common with trapeze but without being so rigorous.

24.01.2022 On winter mornings, it's nice to start our practice outside in the warm sun. Here are some members of our class, starting the Golden Eagle Salutation in the beautiful treed surroundings of the Scout club. They look positively divine with the radiant sunshine glowing down from above!

22.01.2022 Oops, now the procedure is done (skin cancer removal) and was a little more extensive than first thought, the doctor feels it isn't a good idea for me to teach on Monday 30th November at Landsborough Scout Hall or Maleny Yoga Shed. See you Friday 4th and Monday 7th Dec.

22.01.2022 Well I've been so surprised at the level of connection and enjoyment we've been experiencing through our online classes. Yes, it's not quite like being together in person and we've had a few technical hitches, but people have been overcoming them....mostly...and it brings out great patience and adaptiveness in us all. We've had the company of gorgeous pets in our classes, like Jo in Savasana/relaxation with her dog Rosie with favourite toy, in this pic. I've just found out that yoga classes are NOT permitted in the first stage of easing of restrictions from this weekend. But stage two beginning 13 June, will allow yoga classes, but still with distancing and hygiene rules. Hope you are all fine and doing well.

22.01.2022 Very excited to be back in studio classes...in person... tomorrow!! Landsborough class (arrive 8.50 am) starts 9 am - 10.30 am and Maleny class starts 11.15 am and finishes 12.45 pm. Hygiene and distancing guidelines will be followed. Evening class is still on Zoom for the time being at 6.00 pm - 7.30 pm Fridays.

19.01.2022 Our first online classes via Zoom start tomorrow, Wednesday 22 April 9.30 am and Friday 24 April 6 pm....at your place! Let me know if you'd still like to join in. First class is free, $15 or donation after that.

17.01.2022 SPRING STRENGTHENING - STEPPING INTO THE DANCE OF LIFE. In 10 years of teaching, I've never taught the half moon posture - Ardha Chandrasana. It takes a fair bit of balance and strength. So over the next few weeks at Rocky Creek Scouts Hall and Maleny Yoga Shed, we'll be preparing for it with some great strengthening and balancing postures including locust, dancer, lateral and rotated triangles, crane and then the half moon.

15.01.2022 What a year it has been! Amidst much catastrophy there has been much to be grateful for. Our last evening class is 5.30 pm today Maleny Yoga Shed and last day-time classes for the year are 9 am at the Landsborough Scout Hall and 11.15 am at Maleny Yoga Shed, 31 Tallowwood Sreet Maleny on Monday 21st. Blessings to all for a beautiful festive season.

09.01.2022 Apologies - we're going to skip class tomorrow night, Friday 27th November. I'm having a little procedure on my nose in the morning and don't won't to risk bumping it. I'll be fine for Monday morning's Landsborough and Maleny classes.

09.01.2022 Today is the third and last day of the wonderdul Dru Kids and Teens Module 1. I have been wanting to do this course for so long so thanks to Zoom it has been possible this (long) weekend! The imagination and playfulness built into our yoga for little ones is just beautiful beyond words. I just might Have to slip some of it into my adult classes!....and plan to teach children's classes again some day. Next module, August. Pics below were taken pre-Covid-19.

05.01.2022 Well, I decided to change my life. So, last week I resigned from my admin job and next Wednesday I start 3 days/week at The Health Retreat in a scheduling (co-ordinating clients for treatments. activities, specialist appoitments etc.) and yoga teaching combo....in addition to already teaching yoga and mindfulness there every second Saturday. Next Friday I start module 1 of teaching Dru Yoga to children and teenagers and today I was accepted to study Mental Health and Neuroscience part-time online at USC. And of course I'll still teach my own classes. I think that about does it!

03.01.2022 Love the way this helps to convey how energy shifts within and around the body when we move.
