05.01.2022 We love it when we get feedback from our customers. Below is a testimonial from Simon: After decades of dry eyes, blepharitis, irritation and redness, I had given up hope of any real improvement in my eye health until I saw an ad for the IPL treatment offered by Mackinley Optical. They provided a warm welcome, comprehensive assessment and advice and a clear treatment plan. Following treatment I was very pleased to experience a considerable reduction in symptoms of dry eye ...syndrome and a corresponding increase in my eye comfort levels. I will be back for top-up treatments if required in future and can recommend their service highly.

04.01.2022 We love getting feedback from our fabulous customers! Hi Korina, My name is Jessica Gillett, I am 26 years old and I work as Cabin Crew for Virgin Australia. ... For at least 2 years I battled with the grittiness, soreness and redness of my eyes, in which I had thought my eyes were just sensitive to air conditioning, as with my job I am constantly on the aircraft for long periods of times. In this time I saw a number of optometrists to have my eyes tested, my eye sight was perfectly fine, only to have been told my eyes were just dry. I was always recommended numerous brands, drops, gels etc, in which I found never really worked for me and were very inconvenient for my lifestyle. I began to think that my dry eye condition was something I was going to have to live with for the rest of my life and I would have to be a chronic user of eye drops, gels etc. With this came a lot of frustration and with a lot of people turning to "Dr Google" these days I started doing my own research. In one of my searches I came across "do you suffer from dry eyes?". I was even more thrilled because it was located here in Canberra. After clicking the link and having a read through, I was quick to call Mackinley Optical to only have Korina to be ever so helpful and shed some knowledge on the IPL Treatment. My first appointment was with the Optometrist within their store, in which after doing some tests and prescribing me some antibiotics for my eyes I was a suitable candidate for the IPL Treatment. Having mistreated my eyes for so long and afraid of my condition worsening, I walked away feeling very satisfied just after my very first appointment, knowing that I was on the path to correcting the condition of my dry eyes. I completed a course of the IPL Treatments (4) which took place every 2 weeks in which the last treatment was spaced out to be 4 weeks. Each inexpensive treatment cost around $200 per treatment, which was payable at each appointment. I noticed more of an improvement by the second treatment but even more so at the third. My eyes were no longer red, sore or gritty, and the chronic use of eye drops and gels were very minimal. I also boosted my treatment with Lactric Tablets in which Korina recommended me. I take 2 everyday and purchased these within the store. I have found this to have helped me immensely in conjunction with the IPL Treatment. Occasionally I would only get the sensations if I was fatigued/tired or didn't have a proper nights sleep. Today I completed my 4th treatment and I am more than happy with the outcome thus far as I know the condition of my eyes are only going to improve. I can not express more than enough how grateful I am nor do I highly recommend Korina at Mackinley Optical and having had the IPL Treatment save me from being a longtime sufferer of dry eyes. Many Thanks, Jessica
