08.01.2022 Sand Quarry For Sale $750K + gst Yankee Gully Quarry Allora QLD 4362... The Yankee Gully quarry has been a source of sand and fine gravel for local and regional building and construction since 1982 and has previously been referred to as Roches pit. The host extractive material consists of a moderately to extremely weathered and partly indurated sandstone, which if exposed to atmosphere or water, breaks down into constituent grains and clusters across various layers of different stratigraphy and grain size. Silt contents vary from 1 or 2 % to 20% depending on the sand layer. Drilling beneath the existing pit floor has revealed up to 10m of pebbly-coarse to medium sand mostly highly weathered and unconsolidated. Material: The quarry produces a range of coarse to medium to fine sand from weathered fine to coarse-pebbly Gatton Sandstone. Resource: At least 10 million tonnes as determined from a July 2006 drilling program supervised by Coffey Mining. Property The site consists of seven (7) contiguous lots of freehold land forming a collective area of 94.4 ha hectares. Licences: Extractive approvals and EPA licenses are in place.
