20.01.2022 I would like to apologise for our industries behaviour over the next 6 weeks. In the lead up to December 31 you will be bombarded with notices saying that you need to rush to make a decision - please don't make a rush decision. Purchasing solar is something I'd encourage everyone who owns their own home to do. It is one of few investments that will deliver value to your home without you having to sell it. It could also cause you a number of issues if you don't make a consi...dered decision. I would love to help anyone who is considering solar however there are a few facts you need to know: - The Government Incentives aren't going to end on NYE. A 6.6kW system installed on the 31st of December will generate 100 certificates @ $35 or $3,500 in incentives. A system installed on the 1st of January will generate 91 certificates @ $35 or $3,185 in incentives. - High quality installers are going to be hard to access over the coming 6 weeks. Don't be rushed into a decision or fooled by an end of year special. - Solar will impact the façade of your home. This should be a considered decision. - The payback is going to be between 3 - 5 years depending on how you use energy at home. We are happy to assist people in making the correct decision. 01.01.2022 Are you sick of receiving emails from Solar companies titled 'Claim this $3,700 rebate'?? I find these adds very frustrating and misleading. Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) are a financial incentive, not a rebate. STCs are tradable certificates which you can create and trade yourself, or assign the right to create to a registered agent (Solar retailer) in exchange for an upfront discount off the cost of your system. If you are looking at installing solar it is worth doing your research and talking to someone you trust.
