16.01.2022 Apologies to everyone for being very quiet on my fitness posts lately. I have had a busy couple of months. I have recently moved up to Prahran to start a new venture which I will be launching within a couple of weeks to you all. I have also recently had a hip replacement 6 weeks ago that has kept me out of action for a bit but my rehab is coming along very well. Main reason for my post is that I am now able to start my personal training again and wanting some excited and moti...vated new clients to start training. 15.01.2022 Hope I can inspire a few people with this post and realize that there is no other perfect time to be happy than now! We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough, and we'll be more content when they are.... After that, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our partner gets his or her act together when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice holiday, when we retire. The truth is, there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when? Your life will always be filled with challenges. It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. A quote comes from Alfred D. Souza. He said, "For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, or a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life." This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way. So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time...and remember that time waits for no one. So, stop waiting until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until winter, until your song comes on, until you've had a drink.... there is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not a destination. Work like you don't need money, Love like you've never been hurt, And dance like no one's watching

09.01.2022 Battle ropes! Probably my favorite conditioning exercise. Definitely one that most my clients don't always enjoy. I love finishing of my upper body strength session with the rope. Couple of things to focus on when doing this exercise is have a slight bend in the knees, stick that butt out a little, have good posture and engage the core! Enjoy!

08.01.2022 MMC- Mind Muscle Connection I speak to my clients a lot about mind muscle connection, and for so many people it is the reason why they don't see the results they desire. Improving your MMC will increase the amount of muscle fibres being recruited when training. The idea is to really concentrate on squeezing the primary muscle that is being worked for the certain exercise rather than letting your mind wander or checking out the hot chick in the squat rack.... couple tips for you! Leave your ego at the door and drop the weight that you usually use and go lighter, focus on squeezing the right muscles. Also, instead of jumping straight into your strength work do some activation exercises to get those muscles firing before doing your big compound exercises! It is very easy to get distracted at the gym but this week try and concentrate to see how good your mind muscle connection is.

01.01.2022 Working on upper body strength and power last night with jack. Couple of Medball exercises at the start of the session to work on his explosiveness and power. Jack has improved his upper body and lower body strength since he started training with me about 3 months ago, which has improved his running ability significantly. Look forward to see how he goes this year with the heathmont jets in the EFL!
