17.01.2022 Here at D & S Taber Electrical & Solar, we like to try to give back to the community when we can. So when we were invited to participate in the Vinnies Community Sleepout, we jumped at the chance (well, maybe not jumped because we LOVE our warm, comfy beds - but we certainly hesitantly yet enthusiastically said yes!) So, for this week's TABERS TIP OF THE WEEK we're asking for you to help us help our community!! On Friday 30 August, our team is going to rough it for... the night and sleep out with other community members and business people. While we won't quite be on cardboard boxes on a park bench somewhere, we will certainly be out of our comfort zone experiencing a minute fraction of the discomfort that homeless people experience every night. In doing so, we've set ourselves a target of $1,000 to be raised to go to St Vincent de Paul to assist them in continuing their work with homeless people, the disadvantaged and those at risk of becoming homeless by developing initiatives designed to connect these people with training, education and employment in an attempt to avoid homelessness. So - here's our TABERS TIP OF THE WEEK... HELP US HELP THE HOMELESS! If you, too, feel that homelessness really shouldn't exist in our wonderful country, then please donate to our cause!
