15.01.2022 Each year, we collect knitted items from all members of the Canberra community, for those members less fortunate than ourselves, the homeless. Canberra, a close knit community is in the 3rd year now supporting our homeless community with knitted items to keep them warm, but also educate young to old about issues around unjust societies and ways in which we can connect with one another. This weekend has the car fuel light on full as we drive around for the next 7 days collecti...ng articles knitted, articles of love, support and contentedness for our community. Down to Earth Practical Solutions is pleased to partner with The Salvation Army and North Belconnen Community Association (NBCA) to make this collaborative community project connect with so many people in our community, ensuring a truly cathartic experience for all. We handover/launch Thursday week to help those in need warmer this winter. Keep an eye on our website for 2021 information, in the meantime...knit on! Thank you folks for allowing us to listen to your stories of why you are a part of this project- heart wrenching stories from some to improve outcomes for others.
