10.01.2022 Hi Team DTSC, As we are all abundantly aware, 2020 is a year like no other, one that none of us, young or old, have ever experienced. Some of us have enjoyed the sleep ins, remote learning in pyjamas and staying indoors when its cold outside. But for many of us, the challenges that 2020 has thrown up can seem overwhelming. We are missing our friends and family. We are missing our school and work and we are missing our swimming. So on this RU OK day we need to take a moment to... check out for each other. Make sure our friends are OK. Its a simple question and can make the world of difference for someone who is suffering quietly. So, on behalf of DTSC, I would like everyone in our fantastic club to check in with someone they know and care about. Ask them if they are doing OK. And ask yourself if you are doing OK. Just remember, We will get through this difficult year. We will get back in the pool and reach our potential. We will get our education and businesses back on track. We are strong and we will overcome these obstacles. If anyone is struggling and aren’t sure how to ask for help, please reach out. Talk to you parents, talk to your coach and talk to you friends. We are all here and we ready to listen. So please take the time to ask someone R U OK??

09.01.2022 The water may have been 10 degrees but when you miss the water and swimming you will brave anything! Hopefully you can get in the pool soon Charlie, Victoria, Cody and Anthony. #go DTSC

07.01.2022 On Tuesday night experienced sport psych and former swimmer, Megan Davis, took our State and National swimmers through some valuable mental skills such as visualisation, relaxation and focusing attention. She also reminded them that lockdown was a good opportunity to practise and develop these mental skills. The session was very useful and enjoyable and we look forward to having Megan back on Saturday morning to work with all squads. For those of you who would like to contact Megan, please message us and we will forward you her contact details.
