18.01.2022 Dubbo Amnesty would like to congratulate its co-convenor Jojo Joseph on winning the Dubbo Regional Council Cultural Person of the Year award at the recent Australia Day event. At our monthly meeting, Barb presented Jojo with a gift and spoke about why he was the deserving recipient of such an award. Congratulations Jojo!
13.01.2022 The reason we do what we do! Another success story, due to the efforts of Amnesty International Members. Human rights defender Tran Thi Nga was released after serving three years of a nine year prison sentence for ‘propaganda against the state’.
