25.01.2022 A handy reminder for ALL road users. Let’s keep us all safe on our roads. Please share so everyone knows the rules.

25.01.2022 Charlie loaded up to roll out tomorrow morning on our self supported mystery weekend tour. Leaving at a respectable 10/10.30 after coffee at Magnolia. 10 of us easing back into it after the restrictions.

25.01.2022 Just a reminder to any new riders out there who might like join Dubbo BUG on Sundays for a social group ride. Please forward to anyone who may be interested. Any enquiries welcome.

23.01.2022 Coffee at RFDS at the airport today, long weekend plus COVID restrictions meant a bit of a traffic jam to get in but once in, service was pretty quick. This was 1 table of 2 with 2 new riders that got a bit of an tough introduction in the strong northerly breeze.

20.01.2022 In case you didn’t know why cyclists ride 2 abreast. Good article to forward to non-cycling family/friends.

19.01.2022 From Sunday, 6th Dec 2020 (first Sunday in December) we will be starting our BUG rides at 8.00am.

18.01.2022 Loop The Levee community ride in Nyngan. A community ride around the usually out of bounds Levee bank. 60 starters of all ages, some as young as 6 doing the whole loop of around 14 k.

18.01.2022 With only 3 days to go before the Loop The Levee community ride, it looks like all systems are go. I have been in close contact with the Shire and with no Covide issues in the Local Health District it is deemed safe to proceed. Start time is 10.30 this coming Sunday from the Golf Club so be there no later than 10.00am to sign on. The river is up and has blocked part of the path so a just incase detour has been put in place ( thanks Jeff). The route will be signposted with... marshals at key points including the shortcut of around 7k. After we finish, why not grab a drink and hot dog from the bar at the Golf Club, remember you need to be seated for drinks and food. Anyone with last minute bike issues, I will be available on Friday afternoon and Saturday on 0437136169. Remember all bikes need to be road worthy and you must wear an approved helmet. See more

17.01.2022 During this Covid uncertain time with regulations changing daily, we have decided to give our week long tours a rest and concentrate on weekend tours. Weekend Tours are easy to organise and easy to can if regulations change. We will strive to hold one once a month with a mixture of supported and self supported gravel and road weekends. Mainly in our area and always the road less travelled. Our last one a couple of weeks ago out to Ballimore was a cracker. ... The next one pencilled in for the 1st of August will be a self supported gravel ride, starting and finishing in Dunnedoo with an overnighter in Gulgong. Numbers will be limited for distancing and dining purposes. Interested, get in touch. See more

10.01.2022 Remember to maintain physical distancing This includes before, during after group rides, along with stopping at traffic lights or stop signs #BikeThroughCorona Find out more https://bicyclensw.org.au/resources-to-bike-through-covid-/

07.01.2022 Change of plans...with the impending weather forecast of rain for Sunday, we have decided to postpone the morning tea in the bush part of Sunday’s Bug ride. The ride will start from Wahroonga Park at 9am & the Zoo is open so an option to go there for coffee as plenty of room.

06.01.2022 First ride back for Dubbo BUG today after the recent restrictions. We had a morning tea in the bush planned but due to the forecast rain, decided to take the safer option and go to the Zoo for coffee after an out and back ride on the Obley road.

06.01.2022 A bit of a grey day today for our weekly bug ride but not that cold. Morning tea at Magnolia Cafe after a lazy 30 k ride. Looking to do another Welcome New Riders day shortly, remember that there is no speed or distance requirements. Pictured are 2 of our 4 riders who are 80 plus years of age with Neil Peadon, an Australian Champion back in the day at 90. No excuses.

02.01.2022 Good day for our Bug ride after a fresh start.
