25.01.2022 Hi my lovelies! Further restrictions to public closeness mean we are gonna have to start thinking of some plan B and C stuff! Don't worry though, love conquers all! Head over to my website, wait a few seconds for the pop-up to load (looks like the picture here), and click on the button for some general info. We will make this work! Take care of yourself and each other, mentally and physically xxx https://cassiedaviscelebra.wixsite.com/weddingcelebrant

25.01.2022 Happy Mother's Day to all the people who have made a loving and lasting impact in our lives! And it comes with good news...restrictions have eased a bit and now allow up to 10 people at weddings! Time to get planning again peeps!!

22.01.2022 To check out the winner of the competition draw follow this link https://www.facebook.com/Dubbocelebrant/videos/676733872975742/

20.01.2022 Did you know..."Non-essential organised mass gatherings of more than 500 people will be banned across Australia from Monday in a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus" WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR YOUR WEDDING? 1. only invite 499 people 2. no matter how cautious you are, never EVER think this is an acceptable accessory!

19.01.2022 As I am sure you are aware, non-essential indoor gatherings of 100 people or more are now banned. Your heart just dropped to your stomach...countless months/years of organising for your special day only to feel like the rug has been swept out from under you! Can I still get married? What about the reception? What if people get sick? Do I still have to pay? I'm not gonna sugar-coat it, in terms of knowing if your wedding is still on it's all a bit of a sh*t storm! With so many... unknowns it's hard to plan ahead. Here are a few suggestions to gain back a little bit of control: 1. Take a deep breath (remember your social distancing when you do!) 2. Ring your ceremony/reception place(s). Chances are their heads are spinning too and not sure what's going on, but at the very least you can cry together then try to find some options 3. Does Great Aunt Mavis and her ex-husband's dogs neighbour really need to attend? Cut down your numbers by finding people who will understand your predicament and want to help you rather than being offended 4. Any elderly, immunocompromised, parents with newborns etc that may be at risk by exposing themselves to large gatherings? Talk to them! Maybe they are stressing about telling you they can't go anymore and you can save each other from the torture you are both going through! Modern technology can also be useful here-#skypewedding! 5. Think outside the square...or outside the room...can you move the inside out? Are there ways to change the menu a bit or do your vows by the willow tree so people can dwell outside instead? Will this fit into guidelines? Who the hell knows from one second to the next, but plan B is still one more plan than you started with! 6. Talk to your celebrant. Seriously, we are bloody amazing people! We may or may not have the solutions you need, but you have someone in your corner who can throw ideas around with you 7. Did you book ME as your celebrant? What luck! No way am I going to charge you to change dates or cancel because of this pandemic business! Let's figure this out together. 8. If you didn't book me but your celebrant is not available for your new date message me and I will help you all I can See more

19.01.2022 The trip to Sydney was worth it for all the smiles, laughter, and tears of joy #perfectweddingday #lovedeveryminute

19.01.2022 As of the 24th July restrictions for weddings, funerals and gatherings will be enforced. I hope "no dancing" means outside of the 4m2 rule #dancingtogetheralone

18.01.2022 New COVID-19 protocols in place for weddings and gatherings...no more than the bare minimum at a a wedding: the engaged couple; 2 witnesses, and myself. I'm still reading up about the outside alternatives but doesn't look look promising. Needless to say I will do everything in my power to help.

17.01.2022 Happy Easter everyone! I know for many it can't be celebrated with family and friends-we are thinking of you through this time and are a message away if you need a chat. For some, weddings have had to be cancelled, which can also be a struggle emotionally. Please do not hesitate to use the many online and phone counselling services out there. Connecting with others is super important! Sending lots of love and hoping you feel peace this Easter.

17.01.2022 My first "did you know" is info about all Australian celebrants. Did you know that celebrants must complete annual Ongoing Professional Development (OPD)? Each year we need to participate in approved courses to maintain and grow our knowledge and skills. Cool hey! I have done mine through Australian Celebrations Training because Beth is an incredible and knowledgeable person and always answered my own stupid questions during my certificate study!

11.01.2022 Weddings and funerals are listed as reasonable reasons to be out and about. However, the 5 people rule for weddings and 10 for funerals still remains. You won't be celebrating your wedding like this picture, sorry (plus the masks are crap for my claustrophobia)! It will be an intimate and still wonderful moment. If you choose to postpone or cancel, I will NOT be charging you one cent. This situation is so far from your control that it would be cruel. I will fit you in as best I can for your new date. I am currently working with a couple who are looking at getting their guests linked in via live stream- great problem solving peeps!

09.01.2022 Got back from Sydney after doing a wedding at Ingleburn Baptist Church. Pastor Steve was the most generous, accommodating, and positive person. Thank you for allowing me to share your beautiful church and the wedding ceremony! It's not often I get to conduct a wedding in a church so it was a truly humbling experience.

07.01.2022 Creating a bridal pack of a different kind! Dubbo heat and outdoor weddings don't go together well...I'm so excited for today regardless, but a general message to you all - please keep hydrated, shady, and look after the elderly and animals.

06.01.2022 I am starting a question segment called DID YOU KNOW ...otherwise known as QUESTIONS FOR QAS (it sounded better in my head!). If you have any questions you thought were too obvious to ask or aren't sure of celebrant services or processes this is the space to ask! Tag a mate who needs some educating

06.01.2022 Does this mean we can dance now?! #boogiefever #notouchy

06.01.2022 My beautiful daughter slash PA surprised me with my own cartoon! A younger and skinnier version but I absolutely love it!!!!! I always knew I had my own reality

05.01.2022 Solemnisation of marriages can occur with a maximum of 5 people - the couple, the celebrant and 2 witnesses Social distancing of 1 person per 4 square metres These rules apply both indoors and outdoors Whilst technology can be used to involve other guests, it cannot be used for the celebrant to marry you remotely (ie the celebrant is required to physically attend the ceremony) Fines and possible arrests can occur. Public can report gatherings to authorities.

03.01.2022 Congratulations Kellie Burgess you won the draw! I will contact you shortly to get your email address so your vouchers can be sent to you!

03.01.2022 As a homage to Rocky Horror at the drive-in, "I see you shiver in antici....pation"! That's right folks, the long awaited logo pick has finally arrived! Your votes are in and I want to thank you all for having some fun and contributing! You are all so wonderful "there's a fire in my heart and you fan it"

03.01.2022 Scomo announced that rules to weddings and funerals remain unchanged. Still only 5 and 10 respectively, but better than 0 I guess :(
