25.01.2022 A huge thank you to Dubbo ARB for donating light bars for our three appliances. They will definitely improve safety for our crews when attending any night jobs.

25.01.2022 Yesterday afternoon Dubbo HQ along with NSW RFS Eulomogo, Dubbo Fire Station, Burrabadine RFB, Minore Rural Fire Brigade, and Cumboogle Rural Fire Brigade responded to reports of a Grass Fire on Rosedale Road. On arrival crews found two Grass Fires, one with structures under threat and another running along the side of the railway line. Crews were quickly able to gain the upper hand on both fires and bring them under control.... Unfortunately several times during firefighting operations there was a large number of sightseers traveling down Rosedale Road for a look, this impeded firefighters efforts as they were delayed in traffic, with a few car blocking the road, had to take extra precautions not to be hit by passing vehicles and even had some stopped next to working crews to take photos. Members of the public are asked to please never drive towards or through an active fire ground as this is unsafe for both you and fire crews and also impacts fire fighting efforts.

23.01.2022 Early this morning Dubbo HQ was paged to a reported structure fire on Obley Road along with Cumboogle Rural Fire Brigade, Minore Rural Fire Brigade, Dubbo Fire Station, NSW Police Force and NSW Ambulance. On arrival crews found a shed fully involved. Over a few hours crews were able to extinguish the shed and its contents such as a few motor vehicles, fuel drums, gas cylinders and other assorted items.... With the colder months upon us it is important you ensure your home is as fire safe as can be for yourself and family. You can find out more information on being Winter Fire Safe with the link below https://www.fire.nsw.gov.au/page.php?id=9284

21.01.2022 All it takes is Five minutes to understand how to prepare yourself, your family and property for this coming Fire season.

18.01.2022 Late this morning Dubbo HQ was paged to a structure fire west of Dubbo to support Burrabadine Rural Fire Service and Fire and Rescue NSW Station 284 Delroy Thanks to the work of crews, especially Delroy 284 crews, the fire was contained to the structures of origin. Crews remained on scene for a few hours to overhaul before handing it back to the land owner.

17.01.2022 A busy couple of days for Dubbo HQ and multiple other Orana brigades. Starting Thursday morning with a call to assist with a structure fire followed by decontamination of crews in attendance and finishing Thursday night with a call to a suspected grass fire which after investigating was found to be a pile burn. Friday, Dubbo HQ crews assisted NSW RFS Boothenba Brigade and Dubbo Fire Station with a Motor Vehicle accident resulting in a truck fire and later finishing the night ...with Boothenba investaging a smoke sighting to the east of Dubbo. Saturday, Dubbo HQ and Boothenba were called to a Grass fire with homes under threat to the east of Dubbo, this was quickly contained with the assistance of Ballimore and NSW RFS Eulomogo brigades. Not long after, Dubbo HQ was sent to the north of Dubbo to investigate another smoke sighting. And to start the week with a call at 1am Monday morning to a reported grass fire north of Dubbo with Terramungamine Rural Fire Brigade. With the weather heating up, the public is asked to be mindful of activities that could cause Bushfires. And to report any unattended fires to 000.

15.01.2022 This video was shot by one of Dubbo HQs members, who was part of a crew responded out to the Mirrie Road fire just North of Elong Elong last Thursday. The footage shows just some of the work crews conducted that day to prevent the fire from spreading along with the extreme differences in the weather experienced from hot and dry winds at 50Kms per hour to smoke, dust and finally rain as crews were leaving for the day. Footage shot and edited by Colby B.

15.01.2022 If you are travelling home from a holiday this long weekend, please be safe and slow down around emergency vehicles that are stationary with their lights flashing. Please help keep us safe by slowing down, moving over and giving us space, so we can return to our loved ones too. #NSWRFS #TowardsZero

03.01.2022 The Fire Danger Rating for the Lower Central West Plains tomorrow is Severe and a Total Fire Ban will be in force from midnight. This includes Dubbo, Narromine and Wellington LGAs. Leaving early is the safest option for your survival.... Well prepared homes that are actively defended can provide safety during a fire but only stay if you are physically and mentally prepared to defend in these conditions. If you’re not prepared, you should leave early in the day. For more information about fire danger ratings and total fire bans visit www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/fdr
