23.01.2022 Thanks Team Bonnington... Tonight brings an end to an era for one of our great coaches Dave Bonno Bonnington.. Bonno has been a Wallas coach for the last 6 years with his 2 kids Rhys and Eva playing from U7s through to U11s for the mighty roos and he coached his last game tonight as Eva goes off to boarding school next year.... For those that didn’t know the Bonnington’s live the other side of gilgandra and travel over 8000ks a year for training and games to give their time to coach and let their kids play the greatest game of all.. The committee can’t thank you and your family enough for all that you have done over years with no fuss and a smile on your face.. There are many kids that are better rugby players from being in one of the teams you have coached over the journey.. Enjoy retirement mate...don’t be a stranger the club is forever in your debt & yourself, Danielle and the kids will always be welcome and part of the Roos family. 21.01.2022 2021 Friday Night Girls Rugby !!!! Attention all girls we are looking at having a Friday Night Comp in 2021. Age groups will be U14,U16 & U18s with games played at VIC Park... Training will commence in April & competition games scheduled for late April for a 10-12 week season depending upon numbers. The structure of the competition may include teams from other towns with a potential of some away games -TBC. The success of this program will rely on girls wanting to participate along with some parents putting their hand up to assist with coaching duties. 20.01.2022 The Rugby Club Foundation is looking for applications for the $3,000 Herron Scholarship, which is targeted at players, match officials and coaches aged 16-18. ...To further your involvement in the game through self-improvement this may be via education, career development, apprenticeship programs or rugby objectives and would be contingent on your continued involvement in the game. The Central West Rugby Union Board have requested an SGM for the 29 th November at Molong RSL Club following the 2020 CWJRU AGM at 11am .... The business to be conducted at the meeting concerns making a determination to discontinue CWJRU’s affiliation with NSW Country Junior Rugby Union Limited and to change CWJRU’s affiliation to ACT Brumbies Rugby (Australian Capital Territory & Southern New South Wales Rugby Union Limited. In what was a ‘different’ type of year, we all waited patiently for the announcement that Rugby was back on, in an albeit shorter season it was great to see our kids come together to play some Rugby. We have some exciting things coming in 2021, like our Girls Friday night competition, our now 31st year celebrations and much more.... We look forward to seeing you in 2021.
