23.01.2022 It’s not too late to join in Australia’s Wild Pollinator Count! You might just come across one of these critters the Blue-banded Bee which is one of Austra...lia’s approximately 2,000 known native species of bee! Australia has thousands of wild pollinator insects that play an important role in the pollination of crops and plants across the country. But more research is needed to identify all of Australia’s pollinator species and to understand how their ecology works. By taking 10 minutes out of your day, you can help researchers build a database on wild pollinator activity. You don’t need to be an entomologist (nor do you need the fancy gear). And you may be surprised by what you find! For instructions on how to participate, head over to: https://wildpollinatorcount.com/ But ‘bee’ quick the count finishes on 19 April.
