03.01.2022 Meet Buttons, he is a little swamp Wallaby that will be staying with us for a while. He loves to be hand fed by our guests. We released two Eastern Grey kangaroo joeys onto the property and one refuses to leave and roams around the farm Our Peahens are having lots of chicks at the moment and our Peacock is still in fine feather. We have had 28mm of rain this month over 8 seperate rain events and the grass although short is starting to green up nicely. The local bird life... is unbelievable at the moment with large flocks of crows/ravens and cockatoos. The weather is mild during the day and cool at night and in the early morning. Fortunately Duckmaloi Farm missed the wild fires. Our closest fire was the Jenolan Caves fire that is now under control and the Caves are due to reopen on February 1st. Mayfield Garden is open as are most of the local attractions.
