Quest'uomo, guidato dalla saggezza dell'arte Zen, era parecchio bravo con il pallone. Così tanto bravo che nella bella e storica Firenze, scoppio una contestazione dopo la sua cessione, giusto per farti capire chi fosse. Si fece perdonare certo, perche lui era fantastico anche come uomo, non solo come giocatore. Lo fece in un modo che commosse tutti: raccogliendo una sciarpa viola lanciata dagli spalti, nel giorno del suo ritorno da avversario nello stadio che lo aveva amato e consegnato al grande pubblico. Durante la gara, la coreografia della Fiesole lo guardava come a dirgli: "Li vedi i nostri gioielli? Potresti esserci anche tu!", fu magico. Magico come gli altri, intensi e vivi momenti che quell'uomo con il codino ci regalo. Fu talmente importante che divenne addirittura Divino, o meglio, "Divin Codino". E lo sai figliolo.. Lo sai quando si esaltava di piu quest'uomo? Quando sul suo petto c'era la sua mano che scandiva il passo dell'inno Nazionale. Quando le notti d'estate si vestivano d'azzurro e la conquista del mondo, con lui in campo, sembrava sempre a "tanto cosi".
