25.01.2022 Duenna, like everything else, is having a break. We miss singing, we miss each other but let’s all stay home. Stay safe and well, keep singing it’s actually great for your health (shower, toilet, shearing shed are all very acoustically useful places).....and we can’t wait to sing for you again on the other side

21.01.2022 Would you like to be a part of our group?! Duenna is an acapella vocal group that performs widely and sings a variety of popular, classical and well known tunes. We’re always keen for new members. We need female singers who can confidently hold a part, obviously sing in tune (!) and attend rehearsals on a Tuesday evening. More about Duenna.... We have appeared at the last two Boolarra Folk Festivals. Last year we won two vocal sections at The Latrobe Valley Eisteddfod. We ha...ve appeared on TRFM and Gippsland Gold radio as well as ABC Gippsland radio live. We have been requested to sing at many community events and also private gigs. We are currently working on doing recordings. We perform all over Gippsland many times throughout the year. 17.01.2022 The Budgeree Hall Christmas Tree will be a little different this year. Duenna will still be singing carols but this time we will sing live on the Budgeree Hall Facebook page. Tune in on Friday 4th December at 7.30pm
16.01.2022 Had a bit of fun recording 'Here Comes the Sun' a few weeks ago. Hopefully the sun is on its way after all this cold weather. Might dry out some of the mud! A bit of cheerful sun, and a cheerful song, is just what we all need
15.01.2022 Like everything else Duenna has also had a funny old year. What started well, with four performances before early March, we then went on to have rehearsals disrupted by lockdowns. However we have pulled together and come through the other side stronger than ever and finally have some good news! We are very excited to share that one of our Christmas carols will be included on a Christmas CD released by 3mFM Radio South Gippsland. It will also be played on the radio station, along with a couple of our other carols, up until Christmas! So listen out for our recordings of ‘Deck the Hall’, ‘Angels we have heard on high’ and ‘Lully Lulla Lullay’, which will be on the CD.

09.01.2022 Duenna’s performance in early March at the Toora Pear Party was filmed by ABC’s Gardening Australia. It will be aired this Friday the 15th May at 7.30pm as well as Sunday at 1.30pm. A great day and fun performance!
