24.01.2022 Tomorrow at 2pm, Due West: Meet the Cloggers will come to the Yarraville Pop Up Park This event will be featuring the ever-charming local choir Pitchface, the classic Yarraville Trugo Club and the wonderful City West Cloggers. Our favourite local cinema, The Sun Theatre will be also programming a fantastic free short film at 1:30pm, Due West: The Don of Trugo for the occasion - a film about the feud between the Yarraville and Newport Trugo Clubs.... Come and have a dance around the Sun!

22.01.2022 Dont forget to check out the incredible exhibition that is The End/Future of History on until the 14 of December. In this exhibition, contemporary artists examine how rights are simultaneously upheld and violated by government. In an international system that has been dominated by western ideology, a fundamental flaw exists with the administering of rights. It is a system where the guarantor is almost always the key violator.... Curated by Phuong Ngo and featuring works by Hoda Afshfar, Lara Chamas, Yu Fang Chi, Katayoun Javan, James Nguyen, Sha Sawari, Cyrus Tang, and Truc Truong. Photos by Leela Schauble.

Learn how to make a plant think its a synthesizer, a fruit bowl think its a sampler, or just how to make Play-doh even more fun (by adding music). This Sound School workshop, facilitated by Bridget Mary Chappell, will lead you into the world of MakeyMakeys, the electronic toy that enables you to turn just about anything into a keyboard or MIDI controller. 14.01.2022 Tonight, Due West is proud to premiere a new incredible work Due West: Kla. Accomplished artists Raina Peterson and Govind Pillai have created a classical Indian dance piece about death and regeneration. A work where time is circular, death is epic, and themes of transformation, destiny and liberation arise from fire and ash. Accompanied with a live orchestra of vocals, mrindagam, flute, and cello and layered with a scent-scape of incense, tulsi, camphor and ghee; Kla prom...ises to be a sublime experience. Tonight, 7pm at the Performance Space, with shows continuing over the weekend. Book quick!

Make your own lap top cajon, a drum that has the sound of a conga and portability of a laptop, with Tawanda Gadzikwa, or build your own synthesizer with Cat Full of Ghosts Electronics X Worker Audio. Both workshops are on this Saturday from 2pm. Head to Fab9AU to book :)

03.01.2022 Join Solomon Sisay as he launches his debut album Sitota tonight at 8pm in the FCAC Amphitheatre! Written by Solomon and fellow Ethiopian artist Nhatty Man , Sitota is a tribute to the Ethio-Jazz modes endemic to their homeland, and a fitting salute to the saxophones role within Ethiopian Jazz. Amadou Suso will be opening the evening playing on the Kora. He is a direct line descendant of the first ever Kora master who lived over 700 years ago! He holds a deep knowledge ...of Gambian traditional music, fusing it with contemporary mastery of the African harp. This is one not to be missed!!! Make sure you book your tickets.
