So many people are out of work in the current climate and I'm experiencing desperation for work everyday at my office. We can continue to bring in skilled migrants but companies do need to be more open-minded about employing them, I tire of hearing, "They have no Australian experience". Either make the list more relevant or open the doors for skilled migrants to actually obtain employment in their chosen fields.

I seem to find myself in a time where tardiness is a common character trait and a quick text to say your late actually now makes you on time. Indiscriminately applying for jobs based on title alone gives you a bad reputation. Most job boards or in-house systems keep records of how many times you have applied for roles. Employers can quickly see that you are spraying your resume and will assume you're not the right fit for their vacancy and delete it without even looking! #horriblethingtohappen
