20.01.2022 Joining HRH Prince Edward to recognise over 400 Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award recipients & celebrate 60 years of the Awards in Australia. I’m so impressed by the courage, discipline and integrity shown by all the recipients. The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award - Australia
20.01.2022 "I would recommend this Award to everyone, as it teaches you more than you will ever learn in a classroom. It has given me the skills and opportunities to be mo...re than I have ever thought I could be. The Award has transformed me from a quiet, inactive, sometimes ‘lazy’ child into a well-rounded, functioning member of society. I have gained the confidence to talk in front of large groups of people, to travel solo to remote places in the world, developed a business whilst in school and I have become a leader within social groups and communities." - Carl Rudolph, Gold Awardee, QLD To read Carl's full Award Story, head to the link below: https://dukeofed.com.au/story/carlrudolph/ #celebrating60years #momentsthatmatter #dukeofedaus #dukeofed #WORLDREADY The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Queensland

16.01.2022 How lucky were our recent AJ participants - you all walked right through this property! This bushfire @ Currowan started the day after your expedition - very lucky indeed!

12.01.2022 "I was part of a World Challenge expedition to Thailand and Cambodia in June/July 2016, where we hiked for five days in the Thai mountains. This hike was incred...ibly hard due to the climate and harsh location, but very memorable and a great learning experience." Sounds like the trip of a lifetime from Alexi. 08.01.2022 My experiences with The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award - Australia began in 1965 when I registered for my Silver Award and then completing my Gold Awar...d in 1967. If anyone is in any doubt as to the ‘value’ of the @Award, my personal experience proves it is valued throughout the Combined Services and business community as a very real tool in assessing the qualities of someone seeking employment or promotion. I always made sure that my Duke of Ed Award was highlighted in my resume when applying for employment, resulting in me being put towards the top of the list for a follow up interview. I am convinced that this would not have happened had I not completed the Award. Nick Murphy Gold Award Holder
