25.01.2022 Feeling tropical? Fly down our stairs and take up roost and sip away at a ‘Jungle Bird’. @stonepinedistillery’s ‘Dead Mans Drop’ spiced rum and @imperialmeasuresdistilling’s Ruby Bitter give a good Aussie twist on this tiki classic.

22.01.2022 Right now the community needs a moment to catch our breath and pour ourselves a drink. Dulcies to your door is BACK and ready to make sure you can enjoy good Aussie spirits in the safety and comfort of your home. Our take away and delivery menu is on our website and our masks are at the ready to make contactless delivery. 5pm - 10pm

22.01.2022 Its been awhile, but were about to start opening up our drinks cabinet and showcasing some new signature drinks soon... that means new spirits and new stories. While you wait, perhaps you can share a great story you know of a person or place that has defined Sydneys culture?

21.01.2022 Looking for a night of full Kings Cross immersion?

20.01.2022 Florence Broadhurst was a creative powerhouse. Dabbling in music and theatre before finding her fame in visual arts, Florence epitomised her era of Australian female artists and was founding member of the NSW Art Gallery Society. However, it is her fiery red hair and collection of vibrant wallpapers that she is most remembered for. Sadly, her mastery was halted at age 78 when she was gruesomely murdered in her Paddington terrace. The Gospel Rye whiskey shaken as a sour with fresh carrot and lemon juice, house spiced honey & apricot syrup with a dash of smoked bitters and peated whisky, garnished with cayenne pepper. @joshraymond

20.01.2022 Dont let isolation get you down, Dulcies to your Door is open now until 10pm this week. Stay home, stay sophisticated. @joshraymond

19.01.2022 In love with this pic snapped by @lworsley_observations, hope it inspires your thoughts towards a night spent at Dulcies!

19.01.2022 Last night a few of the team got an impromptu tour of Brix Distillers Surry Hills distillery. It was such an incredible chance to understand the urban distillery process and what it means to be part of the craft rum movement in Australia. For those that visit Dulcies, Brix is just a wander through Darlinghurst away and both Mitch & James are such passionate hosts. No Sydney based ‘sipper’ should miss out on a visit. @joshraymond

19.01.2022 The Coca Cola sign at Kings Cross has always been the symbolic ‘beating heart’ of Sydney. Perhaps it was the evocative red that pulsated to the beat of the street it beckoned people into with promises of excitement, romance and sex. Whatever it’s magic, it’s influence has seeped into the conscious of one of Australia’s greatest exports; Catherine Martin. Catherine (who once lived with her husband in Iona, Darlinghurst) perhaps agrees with our romanticised view of this neon effigy as she has taken inspiration from it in some form (colours/curves) in Strictly Ballroom, R+J & Moulin Rouge.

19.01.2022 A big Thank you goes out to the community for this one. We could not, and cannot continue to exist without the tireless support of our customers. Especially during such trying times for small business and hospitality, its wins like this that reminds us how lucky we are to be held in such high esteem. THANK YOU! Come have a drink and celebrate with us.

17.01.2022 Happy August 1st to all those who went dry through July. Come down and celebrate your sobriety with a cocktail. You know what they say; after such a long drought it practically feels like youre first time, again.

16.01.2022 The weather is warming up a bit, and while it may not be time to celebrate that charmed #Sydneylife we can offer a concession as we bring back a few of our favourite drinks from the past for a limited time. SMILES OVER THE HARBOUR is made with cardamom & thyme infused gin, Ruby Bitter, oj and lime.

16.01.2022 Is youre standard martini is too bold, Sam Benetatos from @kisskissbangbangaus has the perfect martini to kiss you awake/good night. The Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang tuxe is a twist on a classic Tuxedo no1. Made with @melbourneginco, @brookiesgin Mac liqueur, fino Apera and rosemary oil; its a must for anyone wanting to slip into something more delicate. @joshraymond

16.01.2022 A wet 1930s Kings Cross. For orientation, the door to Dulcies would be just ahead of the cars on the left.

16.01.2022 Whos ready to find out some of Australias beat gins?

13.01.2022 Well be closed tonight until 10.30pm for a private function tonight.

12.01.2022 Some great news coming out of Macquarie Street today. Premier Gladys Berejiklian, Victor Dominello MP, Stuart Ayres and Dom Perrottet MP seem to have been listening to the people of Sydney and have created a plan to bring the sparkle to the emerald city once again. This is such welcome news for our industry after such a dark period, its good to see there are some smart people running the show.

11.01.2022 Despite this rain were open tonight for drink-in, take-away and delivery. Well all be wearing masks and hand sanitiser is fully stocked. Photo by Rudi Towiro / City of Sydney

10.01.2022 One of the true jewels of Victorian era Sydney; the Garden Palace ruled over the Harbour from its throne within the Botanic Gardens. Built for the Sydney Exhibition of 1879 the grand dame only lasted three years before it was engulfed in fire along with its contents. Sadly the only remains of the palace are its sandstone and wrought iron gates from Macquarie Street. A tall refreshing cooler with Beenleigh Artisan Rum Distillery’s White Rum with house celery & cumquat shrub, built over ice and spritzed with soda.

09.01.2022 Our first foray into this years Dry July is Devils Cactus designed by Nick & Ally from Karu Distillery located in the Devils Wilderness. Made with their Lightning gin (57.5%ABV), dry vermouth, grapefruit butters and a rinse of Blacksnake Distillerys Pechuga. A month of boozey dry martinis to celebrate Dry July. @joshraymond

09.01.2022 It’s Kings Cross, even when you’re ‘loud’; you’re not ‘loud’ enough.

09.01.2022 The red globe of light, the liquor green, the pulsing arrows and the running fire spilt on the stones, go deeper than a stream; You find this ugly, I find it lovely ... Ghosts trousers, like the dangle of hung men, in pawn-shop windows, bumping knee by knee, but none inside to suffer or condemn; You find this ugly, I find it lovely. Smells rich and rasping, smoke and fat and fish and puffs of paraffin that crimp the nose, of grease that blesses onions with a hiss; You find it ugly, I find it lovely. The dips and molls, with flip and shiny gaze (death at their elbows, hunger at their heels) Ranging the pavements of their pasturage; You Find this ugly, I find it lovely . WILLIAM STREET - Kenneth Slessor @joshraymond

08.01.2022 We never thought we’d be saying this, but have you tried a non-alcoholic negroni? @lyresspiritco has crafted a range of no ABV spirits. We have seamlessly integrated these into our menu for non-alcoholic versions of many of our most popular drinks.

07.01.2022 Some fantastic news tonight for the past and future of Potts Point. A motion put forward by @clovermoore to the City of Sydney was voted in favour to jointly contribute to a feasibility study of the Minerva/Metro Theatre on Orwell Street. This shows that both @cityofsydney and NSW state government are invested in not only empowering 2011 as an entertainment precinct, but also breathing confidence into the arts industry and reminding them that Sydney could once again become A...ustralias entertainment capital. We thank the Metro Minerva Theatre Action Group, the City of Sydney council and Minister Don Harwin for their ongoing efforts to revitalise what could be the jewel in the Kings Cross crown. Attached are original and recent photos showing just how intact the theatre is. @ Minerva Theatre, Sydney

07.01.2022 Before and After. One of the most magical things about our transition from old Kings Cross Strip Club to new Kings Cross Sip Club is how weve been able to reclaim the space as a hub for locals and performers. Tonight we have @magnoliasartclass which uses a stage once built to comodify womens bodies, to now celebrate them in a safe empowering environment. @ The Golden Mile

05.01.2022 While our area continues to do what is best to recover and mitigate further risks and outbreaks, we will be trading as above. Please do not hesitate to ask us any further questions about how were keeping our staff, customers and community safe.

04.01.2022 Former detective Duncan McNab is live and talking all things Roger Rogerson from 6pm Sunday September 20th. Tickets are limited and are available from our website. Roger Rogerson was once the golden boy of criminal investigation, a man who could have become the states top detective and maybe even Commissioner. He was a detective admired for his skill, tenacity and sheer guts. Rogerson had the actors ability to make everyone in his audience feel he was talking only to them - persuasive with a jury. But behind that charming facade he was a greedy cold blooded killer.

04.01.2022 Since we sold out last week, well being doing this talk AGAIN this Sunday for those who missed out. Tickets sold out in 6 hours last time, so get in quick.

03.01.2022 What good is sitting all alone in your room? Were back to our regular weekly trading starting tonight! Tuesday to Sat open 5pm till late, lets get the cross (responsibly) swingin again!
