06.01.2022 Today's weather feels like soup weather! Heres a quick easy recipe to make wholesome broth to feed the whole fam! Ingredients:... * Whole Fresh Chicken or chicken pieces (opt for beef/pork bones if you prefer) * 2-4 Carrots cut into chunky pieces * 1 Large onion cut in half * 2-3cm sliced ginger * 2-3 Cloves garlic * 1 Bayleaf * 1-2 Sticks celery * 1 TBS Peppercorns * Salt to taste * Oil Brown chicken in large stock pot, add rest of ingredients. Add cold water to just cover chicken, bring to the boil then simmer for approx 1.5hrs-2hrs If you're time poor - brown chicken in pan, place all ingredients into a slow cooker and place onto low for 6-8hours Once cooked remove whole chicken to shred and place back into soup for extra protein. Add some extra veg if you wish Preboil your favorite flavoured dumplings or wontons! Add some cooked noodles! Easy Lunch/Dinner done!

These are always a great backup meal if you are limited on time! Pop into soup, pan fry potstickers, boil or steam all within 10minutes! YUM

03.01.2022 Feels like soup weather! Why not make a soup and pop some Dumplings or Wontons in there! If you feel up to it make a broth by scratch, super easy and delish... Ingredients * Whole Chicken (use meat later to shred) * Carrots 2-4 chopped * 1 x Onion cut in half * 1-2 Stalks of celery * 1 x small piece of ginger (prob 2cm sliced) * 1 x clove garlic * 1 x Bay Leaf * 1 TBP of black peppercorns * 1 Tsp Oil * Salt to taste Heat stock pot med/high heat, add oil. Pop chicken in to brown, flip brown other side. Add rest of ingredients. Add water to fill to top. Bring to boil then simmer for 1.5hrs. Or place browned chicken with rest of ingredients into slow cooker on high for 5-6hours Boil water in another pot, drop dumplings or wontons in, will cook in 5mins or when they float to the top that's when you know they're ready. Pop into soup with chicken shredded and add spring onions if you want! Or garnish with fav vegs This recipe can be frozen too so why not make bulk and freeze ahead!
