23.01.2022 #HeritageAtHome to plan your future visit to Dundullimal Homestead - National Trust of Australia NSW, Dubbo https://bit.ly/D_NT. Our doors may be shut, but we ...are working hard behind the scenes to open for visitors very soon. #Dundullimal is the oldest sophisticated slab house in Australia, its sandstone stables, timber church, and shed are a living illustration of rural life on an isolated property. And when our doors open Destination NSW invites travellers to "Immerse yourself in the Region's pioneer history at this unique destination. Wander through the historic homestead, groom's cottage, stables and machinery shed of a squatter's run established before #Dubbo existed." "Be intrigued by the fascinating objects contained in the Dundullimal collection. Enjoy the picturesque gardens. Pet friendly and just 1.5 kilometres past the Taronga Western Plains Zoo."

10.01.2022 Enjoy some #HeritageAtHome from Dundullimal Homestead - National Trust of Australia NSW's Lyn Campbell. With the doors shut Lyn has had to #StayAtHome every day.... She has focused on all those things she keeps putting on the back burner, because visitors to the Homestead are the priority. She prepared a public talk describing 3 treasured pieces of furniture in the #Dundullimal Homestead collection; a Victorian Ottoman (being restored), a beautiful Broadwood piano and a 19th Century Colonial Australian Cedar Card Table by the noted Sydney cabinetmaker, Andrew Lenehan. The talk has been postponed and will take place in the local library later this year. Lyn has reviewed the collection of Dundullimal literature, researching useful information online. She has updated the 'Props Register' from #home, using notes and photos taken when the property was open. #HeritageAtHome to plan your next visit https://bit.ly/D_NT See more
