23.01.2022 Our Hugh Bowman and Winx is coming along nicely. Thanks to The Royal Hotel Dunedoo for the picture.

22.01.2022 Dunedoo Supermarket Mural People will notice that the Mural & Blaze Aid bench seat at the entrance to SPAR supermarket have gone temporary as they are getting a... face lift/rejuvenation. Thanks to the Dunedoo Museum, who secured a small grant from Warrumbungle Shire and the generosity of our Silo Artist - Peter Mortimore, the mural is being updated. The original mural was painted by Janace Holmes in the mid 1990s and highlighted many surrounding attractions. Both locals and visitors have appreciated the work Janace put into the concept and painting of the mural to make it an attraction for our town. The Mens Shed have volunteered to give the Bench Seat (donated by Blaze Aid after the Sir Ivan Fire 2017) a fresh coat of sealer and do some minor repairs. Special thanks to Dave Smith, Barry Nott, Noel Large and Gordan Innes for getting the area ready for the updated Mural. We look forward to Peter painting his magic on the wall in the next couple of weeks. See more

19.01.2022 Welcomed to the Dunedoo Museum's Facebook page. Our first post covers Shop Fires of Dunedoo. This was part of the "History on the Porch" that is displayed on the side of the Museum/Library Building. A special thank you to Sharon Nott for all her hard work in organising the displays. The Dunedoo community has supported the displays that delves into some of Dunedoo and surrounding area’s rich history - some of which may surprise you!... 10 new ‘History on the Porch’ posters have been placed up for everyone to enjoy. Please like and share this post to keep up to date with the Museum's "history on the porch" and stay tuned for the "Step Back in Time" display that will be featured later.

17.01.2022 The local silos are currently been painted. The first side is our very own Hugh Bowman on Winx being led by Chris Waller

13.01.2022 History in the making.

09.01.2022 Beautiful painting of the Hotel Dunedoo

04.01.2022 If you are out and about head down to the porch on the side of the Old Bank/Museum building and enjoy a bit of local history. Here you will meet our local Bushrangers, Jimmy and Joe Governor and Jacky Underwood, Australia's last recorded Bushrangers. Also Sam Poo, Australia's only Chinese Bushrager who shot and killed Senior Constable John Ward at Barney's Reef. A special thank you to Sharon Nott and the Museum volunteers for all your hard work and effort in the organisation of the new "History on the Porch" display boards. Let us know what you would like to see in the displays. Maybe you can add your own little bit of local or family history. Remember the Museum will be open Thursday mornings or by special arrangement.
