24.01.2022 Thanks to a referral in the Adelaide Labradoodles group, we just made another booking for guests with a dog. We love having individuals and families visit with their dogs and appreciate being recommended by other pet owners! If it was you who referred us - let me know! One weekend left at Dune Hideaway in August and a few left in September... and as always plenty of weekdays during the school term if that fits your schedule!

24.01.2022 Oh we can’t wait to try the new Sicily Mare Pizzeria at Aldinga! If any of our guests get there before we do please send a review! And the Snapper Point Brewing beer looks enticing too...

22.01.2022 Release day! So glad to open up our Dune Hideaway again but disappointed the family who were set to use the house this weekend are missing out on this beautiful scene in ‘our’ car free zone at Aldinga Beach. Feels like too many days this year with the doors closed but understand why we need to do it and grateful that it hasn’t been for longer. One weekend left before Christmas... the 4/5 Dec - sing out if you want a bit of this!

21.01.2022 Very proud of our DIY man and co-owner Chris for making our new screen door from scratch! It looks fab and will keep the breeze flowing in and out on those Spring and Summer days!

20.01.2022 Our recent group of women who stayed at the Dune had such a creative time... including some clay work using found objects from the beach to create these amazing cylinders. Very inspiring! What a beautiful thing to plan with your friends for a weekend away!

Or a weekend during Aug or Sept! Our Winter guests have been loving the beach and dune garden, hammocks and fire - so take the leap like these lads and book in soon! ... 17.01.2022 Six lucky teenage boys (& one dad!) enjoyed a weekend of fishing, swims and bacon and egg roll breakies at the Dune this weekend... They had the ‘best time’ according to all reports! So nice to have young lads enjoying the place, and early morning and late night trips to our beautiful beach. 3 fish and 1 crab caught ... Thanks Alex for the great shots!

16.01.2022 Many a guest tells me they CAN’T WAIT to hit the hammocks when they arrive, and our current visitor told me she was booking her hammock time from 2.01pm on her day of arrival (given she could check in after 2!) ... but this photo from the guest before her says you have to be careful if any cheeky monkeys might join you from above! 11.01.2022 Did you know we do Dune Hideaway Gift Vouchers? A great Christmas gift idea from a group (for the grandparents, maybe?), or for a significant birthday... or we have also arranged them for a special corporate gift, or as a thank you for someone who has gone above and beyond but wouldn't accept payment. In a year when people are valuing the chance to 'get away', it could be worth considering!... We recently gave one for a 50th Birthday (together with a group of friends), that we paired with meal vouchers at some of our favourite local restaurants like the VICTORY HOTEL and Pearl, Aldinga Beach, so that's another idea too! Be in touch if you'd like to arrange one to be posted, or emailed.

11.01.2022 Due to a booking error - yep, my fault! - we have a vacancy this coming beautiful weekend (31st July - 2nd Aug)! And the weather is looking picture perfect! Who is keen??

11.01.2022 Particularly in the month of ‘Movember’ which highlights mental health awareness I reckon it’s a top idea to book in a getaway with your mates, take some walks, kick some balls, play guitar on the deck, head to the Victory for some views and brews...and a long lunch at the Salopian Inn. I often share news of the ‘Ladies Weekends’ that are booked fairly often.. but it’s less common for groups of guys to book the Dune. We encourage it! Here’s a few pics of a recent group who l...oved their stay - The house was perfect said Nick! From the look of the first shot I suspect they might be a boy band who can’t tour internationally at the moment (guy in the background chatting about potential gig at The Gov instead) Make a date with your mates and give yourself something to look forward to!

11.01.2022 Oh The Little Rickshaw - you were divine tonight! The ‘Feed me’ option was a delight to the senses with delicious textures and tastes.. We highly recommend visiting while on a weekend stay at Dune Hideaway!

11.01.2022 The beautiful book ends to our dirt road... Aldinga Beach at one end of the street and the Aldinga Scrub Conservation Park at the other end! And our preserved piece of sand dune in between. Lots of Roos spotted in the Scrub this week say our guests! Thanks Kathy for capturing these scenes - hope you’re having a great week!

10.01.2022 A delicious lunch prepared by our guests at the Dune, with goods gathered from the Willunga Farmers Market... incredible! I nearly sped down there to join them!! These women are having a fabulous time including a French film night, foot spa treatments, dinner at the Victory... relaxing done right!

09.01.2022 When your guests arrive on a super hot arvo you hope they can find relief pretty quickly... turns out It’s perfect. Not hot inside at all! Happy weekend to our guests from the city! Enjoy relaxing and hitting the beach with the kids and labbie!

06.01.2022 THANK YOU to all our guests during the school holidays and in fact anyone who has booked in since we re-opened in June. We've already got some bookings for the Sept/Oct holidays so if you were keen, be in touch ASAP to ensure we have availability - or take a weekend away instead with 2 weekends left in Winter, or plenty of space in Spring at this stage. Thanks for all the support, and the happy snaps! We love receiving them!

05.01.2022 Well "It's gonna be a hot one!" as they say, but I'd rather be at Aldinga Beach this weekend where it’s set to be a few degrees cooler than Adelaide! Any favourite COOL spots to suggest to our guests, besides under the air con at the Dune?! I messaged with a few ideas... - like the new gelato bar at Sicily Mare Pizzeria, or dining in at the VICTORY HOTEL at Sellicks. Also taking the kids to the air conditioned Aldinga Library might be fun for a couple of hours and you can re...turn any items to your own local library when you get home. But any other suggestions most welcome!

03.01.2022 Winter weekends done right! Keep the holiday vibe alive with a weekend away at Dune Hideaway... The last weekend in July, and last weekend in August might just be calling you - with your family, your dog or your friends! Be like Sunny the dog and get your paws sandy and salty by day, and cosy warm by night! Thanks Jodi for the snaps!

02.01.2022 **Update- the January dates just went! Thanks Eliza x Summer at Dune Hideaway can be as active or chilled (or a bit of both!) as you want it to be.. and we have some remaining windows in a largely booked out Dec/Jan to offer as shorter stays (normally 7 night minimum in the peak Summer school holidays). From Tues Dec 15th for 4 or more nights OR leading up to Wednesday Dec 23rd for 4 or more nights. Also days available either side of the school holidays if you finish school e...arly or it fits your schedule... Plenty available leading up to Sat Dec 12th, or from Wed 26th Jan. A rare chance to dip your toes into these glorious days of making the most of the beach in the early morning, or later in the day when it's a bit cooler, hanging in hammocks in the shady garden, chillaxing with the air con, or venturing out to the wine region! It's all there waiting for you
