22.01.2022 Landscaping provides new challenges - Luc's in the process of building stairs from the leftover retaining wall blocks. Great time for being outside and very rewarding.

13.01.2022 It was a huge day yesterday - plenty of visitors for Sustainable House Day. Thank you for everyone who attended - we really enjoyed ourselves. This pic is at the very beginning - setting up, ready to go.

12.01.2022 If you get a chance catch the latest Grand Designs (UK). An interesting house built with health consciousness in mind. It highlights the amount of VOC's in building products, and the importance of research when choosing your products.

09.01.2022 Almost finished flooring down. It's cork with a wood-look pattern on top.

06.01.2022 Whilst painting we are keeping warm thanks to our passive solar design. It's the Winter solstice and the sun is warming the concrete floor. The floor was 18 degrees by 7 am and the outside temperature was only 6 degrees.

04.01.2022 This is the perfect time to plant in the garden, the ground is moist and the sun not so harmful. I have put cardboard down to mulch the grass and topped it with forest mulch and hemp.We have tried to purchase endemic species from our native nursery so that they can withstand the extreme weather conditions. I have hound help too, which is, of course, the best kind of help.

03.01.2022 Still working on the landscaping. We have a very deep drain in the front of the property. Reimagining it as a creekbed. When it rains it's magic! There will be a solar update soon. Stay posted.
