11.01.2022 Hi all museum and history watchers. We would love you to record, either pics and or comments of what you are experiencing due to the virus and share it with us once we get to the other side of social distancing. You might like to keep a journal, write a poem, or other creative outlets. Stay well - President, Heather Funk.

10.01.2022 Grant application a success. The Southern Grampians Shire Council has enabled the Museum to employ Julie Kincade to design and create a website and set up a facility for electronic payment. Well aren't we becoming so modern.

05.01.2022 The committee are preparing to reopen the museum with Covid safe restrictions on movement around the displays. Yahoo. If you haven't visited us before it should be on the bucket list.

01.01.2022 We are keen to research and publicly display a large plaque at our local Dunkeld cemetery of all our soldiers who fought in the 2nd World War who are buried in this cemetery. A biography of these soldiers will be written in book form outlining the sacrifices and lives of these soldiers. This project is the second stage of our commitment to honour our servicemen and women who rest in peace in our cemetery at Dunkeld. The first stage of this project was completed in November 20...18, with the erection of a plaque at the Dunkeld cemetery listing our soldiers who fought in the 1st World War, and the publication of a booklet "Our Soldier Boys Volume 1". An account of the men who served in World War 1 and are buried in the Dunkeld cemetery. Our new project would be named: "Our Soldier Boys Volume 2". We would dearly love to gain funding so we can achieve the same acknowledgement for our World War 2 soldiers.

01.01.2022 The book launch commemorating the Old Cemetery is postponed till later in the year. The museum is closed for at least the next 4 weeks and an update will be given mid April. If anyone wants a cemetery book we are happy to post it to them $40 each.
