19.01.2022 PUNCTURE REPAIRS String plug puncture repairs are only a temporary repair solution. Particularly when the damage to the tyre is in the side wall. At Dunlop Super Dealer Melton we will repair your punctured tyres to Australian standards to ensure the repair lasts the life of the tyre rather than the tyre lasting the life of the repair. We also won’t repair road tyres with punctures in the side walls like this tyre here with a temporary string plug. Once the side wall of the tyre has been compromised it dramatically reduces the integrity of your tyre.

We as a mechanical / tyre store are only permitted to perform the following: * Roadworthy Critical repairs only. For example: Brakes, Tyres and punctures or anything roadworthy related. We are not permitted to perform General vehicle servicing, routine rotation and balancing & Wheel alignments. ... We understand that these restrictions are an inconvenience to everybody but we will get through this and get back to normality. We wish everyone the best of health.
