16.01.2022 Have you seen our kids out and about today ? Bike Ed is part of the curriculum in the senior grades. Our year 3/4s work on bike control and safe riding skills at school, our year 5s learn safe riding on the footpaths around town and our year 6s ride on the road learning all road rules and types of intersections.

We offer confidential and anonymous counselling and support on parenting issues. 13 22 89... Available 8am to midnight, seven days a week including public holidays. What we do Our qualified counsellors are available to: talk about any issues to do with parenting and your relationships with your child help you with ways to cope and be a positive parent help with your family's wellbeing and resilience connect you with services in your area. Your call We respect your privacy. Your call is confidential and anonymous. Calls are not time limited and you can call back as often as you need. Our qualified and experienced counsellors have social work or psychology backgrounds. You can ask for a male or female counsellor and ask to speak to the same counsellor if you call back again. We can assist non-English speaking parents and carers connect to a translating and interpreting service. If you're hearing impaired, you can call Parentline using the National Relay Service. Calls from a landline are charged at a local call rate. Mobile call rates will depend on your network provider. Check with your provider if you're unsure. We are happy to call you back to minimise the cost to you. If you choose a call back, we will ring back and you'll be placed at the front of the queue until you're connected with the next available counsellor. 09.01.2022 TERM 3 ARRANGEMENTS We hope everyone has had a restful break. While Mr Merlino has announced a return to remote learning for LOCKDOWN areas, for regional and rural Victoria all students return on site tomorrow. We are extremely grateful for this and look forward to seeing everyone. In order to keep everyone safe we will continue with the same hand washing procedures and additional cleaning during the day. RESTRICTED VISITORS ON SITE - parents/carers/community members a...re not permitted onsite without an appointment. Please phone the office for anything you may require or to make an appointment. 5468 1111 TRANSITION - STEP INTO PREP We usually be starting our Kinder to prep transition program this term. We are still waiting on guidance from DET as to whether this can proceed. In the meantime I will be dropping the enrolment packs to Dunolly Kinder and others who have requested it this week. If you know someone wanting to start in 2021 please ask them to contact us at school. Our new beanies are due to arrive this week too We can’t wait to see our students tomorrow. Katie



08.01.2022 I received this email ..... I’m keen to get some feedback on colour for the outdoor fitness equipment being installed at Gordon Gardens. Five new pieces of outdoor equipment: a chest press; body pull ups and push ups; body twist; leg press; step-up station will be installed in the next couple of months, which includes those below. The colours available are in the attached doc. If there is anyway you can post on school page, facebook, newsletter appreciate it. People can text me a response on 0436 814 111 by Friday 21 August.

Our innovative programming will provide unique opportunities for families to explore 'the great outdoors' while adhering to the current COVID-19 restrictions and incorporating the Smalltalk program. This week, unless the weather is extreme, we are meeting at the Princes Park Play space, Tues, Thurs and Fri, 10-11am; Wed - Gordon Gardens Recreation Reserve, 10.30-11.30am and 12noon-1pm. Bookings are require...d. If for some reason the outdoor group is cancelled, we will offer a virtual Supported Playgroup in its place. 04.01.2022 Dear parents and carers, On Tuesday 25 August, the Department of Education and Training is presenting a free webinar for parents and carers by renowned child psychologist Dr Michael Carr-Gregg, on building family resilience during coronavirus (COVID-19). Parents and carers play a vital role in helping children feel safe through uncertain times.... Dr Carr-Gregg’s webinar is aptly named Managing the Coronacoaster Tips for building resilient families in the coronavirus era. In this webinar, Dr Carr-Gregg provides tools and strategies for parents and carers to help manage the lockdown and remote learning. Topics include: your supportive role setting the emotional tone focusing on what you can control how to deal with disappointment further resources and where to get help. Dr Carr-Gregg’s presentation will run for 45 minutes. This will be followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer session in which parents and carers can ask Dr Carr-Gregg questions.
