23.01.2022 International Food Mondays is back with a taste of South Africa! Lance cooked up a storm with yummy bobotie (minced meat and egg dish), yellow rice and sambal and chutney as condiments. Paired with a choice of white or red (Appletiser or Grapetiser), this was a lekker meal!

With most businesses allowed to conditionally open in June and local government authorities finally allowed to open up on June 9th there is a mad scramble to get their attention. Emma made dessert with an Aussie twist...Lamington and Tim Tam chocolate cake! Both desserts were amazing but the latter seemed to win the popular vote this time around!

03.01.2022 Our staff has been trialling different permutations of scheduled office rosters as well as remote working. We are now placed to continue this efficiently in the face of potential changing government restrictions. Some delays may be inevitable, however rest assured we will use our best endeavours to ensure nominal disruption to Services. During this time we will make use of email, phone and virtual collaboration tools - eg. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype. We are currently avoid...ing all unnecessary travel and will be using online conferencing in place of face-to-face meetings. With regards to sales enquiries and viewings, these will now be undertaken on a private viewing basis. Touching of surfaces is discouraged and staff will be checking temperatures prior to entry and avoiding handshakes. The viewing will be cancelled if temperature readings are above 37.4 or coughing is present. Only key decision makers should be present. In the meantime, be safe, be socially responsible and most importantly, be kind to one another!

BioMASON is an innovative solution of using soil microbes to transform sand or crushed stone into a brick. These biofabricated bricks are nearly three times stronger than a concrete block. And in stark contrast to traditional cement production, they store more carbon than they make. Why is this so important? The cement industry produces more CO2 emissions ...than all planes and ships each year and if this innovation is eventually taken up globally, it could reduce CO2 emissions by 800 million tons every year. 01.01.2022 And we're back with International Food Mondays! This time it was Kim's turn to cook up a Chinese style cuisine and she near brought her entire kitchen to the office! She smoked a whole duck and made yummy Peking duck styled pancakes, tasty steamed dumplings (prawn, pork, and chives in one batch and pork and celery in the other), and finished it with sweet red bean soup for dessert!
