19.01.2022 Maintaining trampoline mats and spring safety pads: If you want your black polymesh trampoline mat and PVC spring pads to last, it's always a good idea to wash away any accumulated grit out of the mat and/or spring pads (at least every 3 months) with a mild household dishwashing detergent (applied with, for example, a soft broom or brush or a microfiber washer or a car wash sponge) - rinsing well afterwards. For the underside of the trampoline mat, use a sprinkler to rinse,... or tip the trampoline on its side against a sturdy fence or wall (with a few adults holding the frame on balance for safety....our trampoline frames range from 65-95 kg!) and wash the underside of the mat and spring pads as explained above. It's actually a great activity for this time of year....any excuse to get wet and cool off! Over time, the stitching thread on the black polymesh mat will wear from exposure to environmental conditions and will tend to break and unravel. For jumper safety and mat longevity, this is when a restitch around the mat seams should be done.....i.e. as soon as broken threads are noticed, or else get a routine restitch done about every 3-5 years. 07.01.2022 People are always surprising us with their stories of how long our trampolines last through the generations, with a recent customer who ordered a replacement trampoline mat saying that the frame being used by their grandchildren has lasted 35 years and still going strong (no rust and in good nick!) What can I say?.....go Australian made!
