24.01.2022 PONY CLUBBERS PAY TRIBUTE TO THE ANZAC LIGHT HORSEMEN Have you ever wondered where the equine term ‘bombproof’ originated? In wartime, horses were used to c...harge into battle, move heavy artillery and carry injured soldiers from the battlefield. These horses had to be fearless to cope with the sounds of war. In remembrance of these fallen horses and their soldiers, Pony Club's normally participate in Anzac day processions, but this year due to COVID-19, they've found a new way to pay tribute. Pony Clubbers are remembering our Anzac soldiers, wartime animals and the light horse brigade with a driveway tribute. Catherine Ainsworth CEO Pony Clubs Australia, ten-year-old pony clubber Alexis Young and her Grandpa David Hunshares share how they're remembering our Anzac heroes.
