23.01.2022 Please, please read. I really hate having to put my cranky pants on....but sometimes I have too! Although Dusty Paws is a business, that operates 7 days a week, we are not a shop front that is open to the public all day every day.... We might only have 2 hours of drop off and pick up times, but there are many, many, many more hours in a day that are dedicated to the kennels and our precious guests. In between those hectic hours, is when we squeeze in "normal" life and family stuff. Another reason for set hours is it makes it easier to coordinate our amazing staff to be here for you when we have pressing commitments or need a break. This is a 365 days a year job for us. We can absolutely appreciate you wanting to inspect our premises before making a booking, I would too! But that must be arranged at a mutually agreeable time. We do also have our online tour on our website. Everyday is a juggling act to get everything done perfectly here and turning up unannounced throws out the whole schedule or impacts our family time greatly. Lately, we have had a disappointing amount of people turning up at our home and bashing on my front door to 'have a look around' without any notice. Some have even gone as far as entering our backyard in our private residence to look for me. This is really not ok. We may live next to the kennels, but these are both situated on private property. We are now having to explore costly changes just to secure our property and privacy. If you were thinking of changing banks, you wouldn't go to the managers house early on a Sunday morning whilst they were cooking breakfast for the family and demand they drop everything and show you around, you'd make an appointment that mutually suited you. This is no different. Please be considerate to us and our children. Thank you very much for your understanding

19.01.2022 This handsome man is Ollie. I don't usually get the privilege of washing him because he's one of our amazing groomer Kaitlyn's clients, but he's been in for boarding and just needed a wash! I loved getting to cuddle up in front of the heater with him!!

17.01.2022 Happy birthday to us, happy birthday to us, happy birthday to uuusss....happy birthday to us!! It's been 5 years since our spring loaded gates opened for the first time! It has been one amazing, fulfilling ride. It has been everything we dreamed of and more. We've had the absolute pleasure of taking care of 1000+ different doggies and every single one of them has left with a piece of our hearts. It's not just a sales plug when we say we love every single one of them i...f they were our own We've grown significantly and extended our services over the years and are incredibly proud of everything we've achieved. None of this could have been possible without the support of our wonderful clients! We can't thank you enough for trusting us to love and care for your precious fur kids. 12.01.2022 Just wanted to let everyone know we are all safe out here and will continue to be so! Everybody is snoozing their adorable little heads off and totally oblivious to the chaos around us!

11.01.2022 Look at these two cuties who had baths with me. Shiva (Blue Heeler) is the only dog I've ever had that LOVES the dryer! She was even backing into it It was Lexie's (Labrador) first bath with us! Her mum wasn't optimistic it'd be an easy task, but she was so chilled! For anxious dogs, we use the lavender shampoo and conditioner to make it as relaxing as possible!

08.01.2022 We are unfortunately already booked out over the Christmas to New Years period. Spots are limited through January, so it's best to book asap to avoid disappointment. I can totally appreciate the frustration when we're already booked and that we can't commit to taking your booking, but please try to understand it is first in first served. Abuse and nastiness is just so unnecessary. I'd love to help everyone, but it's just not possible. ... Just a reminder Christmas/January holiday deposits are due on December 1st. They are 50% of your total booking. If you are unsure what that amount is, just send me a message!

01.01.2022 Listing for a client who is needing to rehome her dog. Please message us for owners contact details! Hi! My name is Fudge. I am a 4 year old brown staffy. I live with my 3 humans, 3 cats and 1 puppy. Recently I lost my best friend and partner in crime, we had our own bedroom, we played together, slept together and even ate together. Since I lost my doggy pal I have been spending a lot of time inside but my humans can't have this as a long term option.... My humans are moving closer to the city next year and had already discussed finding me a new home as I do not do well in crowds or busy areas. I dont mind, I just need a family who can love and care for me all the time. I love to be the centre of attention and love other dogs, cats and children. I am still young so sometimes I get too excited but I never hurt anything, I just want all the pats! I am house trained and toilet trained. I need a strong fence because sometimes I like to take myself for walks! I am a bit scared of loud noises but if I am with my humans I am okay. I also have separation anxiety so I would love a home where someone is home a lot of the time. I don't mind living with other dogs, cats or children but I do like to have my own space. I am used to sleeping in my own room (the humans call it a sunroom!) but I am also a massive pillow hog. If you think you might be able to give me a furever home please contact my humans. I am not desexed but I heard that they will discuss that with my new family (ouch!). All you need is an empty lap, lots of treats and a tennis ball! Please don't judge my humans.
