25.01.2022 ~ Spiny Cheeked Honey Eater~ I’m am very lucky that I suit the colour green because I am so envious of birds, how they can soar the skies, swoop and swerve so sharply but my feet are planted flat on the ground so I do my best to admire these spectacular creatures through my lens.

24.01.2022 ~ Blazing Gums~ A flaming introduction to a new day, the dust is airborne from the enormous road trains hurtling past, it creates something magical when the light peaks through the old gums branches. I have travelled 2700kms Through the outback, everything I own is now engulfed in red dirt even my loyal companion Lucy. #acientlandscape #photography #visitnsw #lovensw #home #indigenousaustralia #igdaily #photooftheday #ig_discover_australia #iglandscape #ig_naturelovers #gw_australia #tv_australia #gallery #australia #nswtourism #travel #adventure #desert #traditional #ig_travel #photographer #dreaming #sunrise #glow #earlymorning #sunset #abcmyphotacientlandscape #photography #visitnsw

22.01.2022 ~ River Roads~ These roads have been sculpted by years of hard country life, watching a rusty old 4WD, or a couple of dirt bikes cruising along the Murrumbidgee -searching for ‘stragglers’ ( sheep that have gone astray) or a hunt by spotlight, looking for rabbits and foxes the old rifle at the ready. It was a nice change in scenery- the ‘Bidgee doesn’t always look so lush, seeing crisp winter dew on the green grass was welcome. #outbackaustralia #reflection #photography #ig_australia #photooftheday #grind #travel #outback #photography #photooftheday #igtravel #travel #nsw #visitnsw #roadtrip #igdaily #ig_australia_ #focus #focus_australia #australia #gw_australia #timemagazine #sunrise #natgeotravel #natgeoyourshot #natgeolandscape #natgeoaustralia #natgeofineart #ilovensw #australia_oz @erinacamerahouse #sublimeshotsau

22.01.2022 ~ Smooth Blows~ Calloused hands, smooth blows, countless sheep. It's a story thats on repeat year in year out in rural Australia. The life of a shearer is a tough one, travelling to remote locations, carting the tools of the trade, and probably a hound or two. The teams are like family and they have to take care of each other to survive the heat, the cold and the remote living. But the upside is the scenery, the teamwork and unpolluted living. It's simple, honest and admirable.

19.01.2022 ~ Marble Seas~ From my precarious position, perched on the rocks, the ocean looked aggressive and angry, but an aerial shift in perspective showed tumultuous waves sweeping sand off the ocean floor into stunning spirals of vibrant colour and textures. Happy hump day every one, there is still time to purchase something from my website in time for Christmas ... https://dustyfoxphotography.com/

18.01.2022 ~ History Through a Hand Piece~ This picture is family. Not just a member of my family, but our history and connection to the outback of Australia. I'm incredibly proud to see my family continue this tradition, I watch in awe at the exertion, the endurance, and the cheeky wink he'd toss my way when pushing into the pen to get another sheep. My Grandfather and Great Grandfather, Great uncle and Uncles, have all done this-my cousins (all girls now) are the next generation of shearers in the family. Its not just a tradition, its an art form. This picture is my family, but he's a genuine artist in this game! @ Wilcannia, Outback Nsw

17.01.2022 ~ Spoilt Grazing~ The cows up here have a certain attitude that their doe eyed dairy cousins lack. It’s as though they know they live in paradise and that my presence was tolerated as they roamed indignantly of their rich green paddocks, spoilt for grazing choices!

16.01.2022 ~ Cultured Sands~ So, I don’t feel right about making a camel ferry me around, I think they’re too incredible for that, but there is something logical about camels and sand. These timeless dunes were of great significance to the Worimi people, and delights those of us who appreciate the getaway, the beauty and contrast of jade waters and creamy sand!

16.01.2022 ~Oceans of Greens~ The lush green canopy of Byron bay was a feast for my eyes. It’s a smorgasbord board of green foliage and generous proportions. The drive north to test out my new Dusty Fox land cruiser allowed me to consider the shift in climate and the atmosphere. The drone wasn’t daunted but the task of cutting through the humidity to catch this luscious bed of vegetation.

12.01.2022 ~ Mungo Glaze~ I sat eagerly in anticipation for this photo, I had been up star gazing and admiring the Milky Way until it disappeared in the morning glow and the sun peaked over the horizon. The golden light caressed the ancient face of Mungo, it is experiences like this that makes me glad I picked up a camera. Visit my website ... https://dustyfoxphotography.com/

08.01.2022 ~ Aussie Castles~ I was struck by this farm house perched on this hill, kind of like an Aussie castle- imagine being a farmer and looking down on this bounty- a far cry from the dusty outback with low set homesteads bracing themselves from heat and dust. This place sits proudly, like a dream, living its position while basking in the sun.

07.01.2022 the collision of 2 continental plates and the extreme environment have shaped this sacred place over 800 million years. Over thousands of years the Adnyamathanha people created trade and hunting routes through out the vast mountain range, Leaving only footprints, used tools . I am extremely interested in indigenous culture I am feel honoured when I can surround my self in culturally significant places. The colour and texture of the red rocks, the layers upon layers that make up Flinders ranges was breath taking.

05.01.2022 ~ Morning Rays~ The Dawn of a new day is always full of promise. Add to that the romance of the landscape, wide, huge skies, the dusty outback, and some corrugated iron and empty sheep pens, and you're set up for all sorts of possibilities. The mornings seem to wash radiance over the setting and itfeels alive and beautiful. #grind #travel #outback #photography #photooftheday #igtravel #travel #nsw #visitnsw #roadtrip #igdaily #ig_australia_ #focus #focus_australia #australia #gw_australia #timemagazine #sunrise #natgeotravel #natgeoyourshot #natgeolandscape #natgeoaustralia #natgeofineart #ilovensw #australia_oz @erinacamerahouse #sublimeshotsau #ausphotomag

05.01.2022 ~ Fleeting Fantails~ These birds are so elusive and swift, they pause for split second and then they are back dashing and dancing about the thick forest canopy. This bird has been considered a bad omen in some cultures, but I felt pretty lucky to be able to capture this little guy through my lens.

04.01.2022 ~ Ruffling Feathers~ The old mossy fence post, an Allie to many avian friends in need of a short break. The icy breeze along the great ocean road ruffles this little sparrows feathers. It was a shocking change for me, from 45 degrees everyday with no shade to elude the blistering sun, too the extra crisp mornings on the coast. The ruffling and puffing of the feathers is a sign that this little guy was also feeling the cold, by warming the increased airflow with its body heat to stay nice and cozy, I certainly wish I could have done the same.

04.01.2022 ~ Old Beauties~ The remote areas in the Aussie outback can offer up some real treasures. Its like a time capsule, and the lack of ocean salts keep these old cars from rusting out. I reckon I could see them in another 20 years and they'd look the same. But still, they're a feature against this landscape, they're a joy to find, much like an old farm tip where you can explore all day collecting old bottles and tins.

02.01.2022 ~ All Together Now~ As the sun dimmed over the endless outback horizon, the shearer’s pushed their last sheep down their chute, clicked their hand pieces out of gear, and headed to the kitchen. I quickly grabbed my camera and rushed out of the shed to see these sheep shuffling into position, as if I was about to tell them now say cheese.
