09.01.2022 Today we went to Mayflower Nursing Home in Melbourne for a training session for the Bakfiets.nl Riksja. We met with the Lifestyle team and did a full run through the Shimano electric system, battery operating, gearing, brakes etc. And of course on how to ride the trike, how to help residents in and out, how to be safe and much more. It was absolutely heartwarming to see the team ready to take out the residents on rides!... We do training sessions at our HQ, and where possible we come to your Nursing Home, to help understand the bike, and how to use it. Discuss safety and other aspects of riding with residents. Hi there, we are Amber and Sam, we recently got the chance to test ride the TERN GSD over the past week from Dutch Cargo Bike and this is our review. It was a great experience and we would have loved to keep the bike for another week or two,, We used it to go to the local shops for some forgotten groceries, to get to work and back and even to Dan Murphy. For us it was so nice to leave the car at home and j...ust take the bike and both fit on there. One biking and the other one chilling on the back. It was very comfortable and it made going out a laugh. We could fit so much in the pannier on the back and a full slab of beer on the front rack. The battery was surprisingly powerful only had to charge it once during the entire week and we used it every day. Mostly we had the bike on eco mode, so you get a little boost, but you still have to put in effort yourself. With the big hills we just swapped from eco to turbo mode and it makes going up the hill effortless. It comes with integrated lights which makes you visible for every kind of motorist and the colours that the GSD comes in are bright and it has reflective patches scattered all over the bike. The smaller wheels make it lively when you are navigating traffic. All in all, a very well-made bike perfect for starting a healthier lifestyle and using the car less. We are definitely saving for a Christmas gift See more
